there are several programs worth 73€ million which recived green light at 6th Nov 2019.
196 Wiesel 1 get a complete make over to increase use time.
Part of this program is to reduce the number of subversions from 9 to only 4
This part of the program is worth 25€ million.
The Wiesel 1 20MK and Wiesel reccon recive completely new optic and targeting system from Telefunken Racoms, the EOPTRIS LR system it is a light compact targeting and firecontrol system with integrated thermal view, laser rangefinder, daylight optic, weapon balistic, GPS and digital and analog ports. It is a proven system already integrated in several NATO nations working in all weather conditions.
The update will increase the Wiesel 1 service time till 2030.
