@WebMaster , why was my thread abruptly locked when a few members and I were in the middle of a very good debate and discussion???

If you read the content and exchanges inside that thread, you’ll see that the discussions were very high quality and respectful. And the exchanges were only getting more academic and interesting when some mod decided to lock it for no reason.

Here is the link to the thread:

If you don’t have time to read the whole thread then please at least read the last few pages where you can see how respectful and academic the thread was heading towards. There was absolutely no nationalistic trolling in that thread. The thread ended up having friendly intellectual exchanges between Pakistani, Indian, Chinese, Vietnamese members (amongst others) which is quite rare on PDF. See how @Desert Fox and I don’t share the same political views but we remained very respectful and academic. And it was only getting more interesting and academic as we managed to avoid the usual nationalistic insults and focussed on theoretical discussions.

I think it was very disrespectful for the mod to suddenly locked the thread in the middle of our discussion (we haven’t finish yet!), especially when many members have put in great efforts into writing quality and indepth posts for that thread. It was particularly rude for the mod to closed that thread without giving any explanations (I know good mods like @waz usually make a small comment before he closes a thread, but whoever this mod was, didn’t even bothered).

I simply see no reason why the thread needs to be locked, especially when low quality trolling posts/threads are tolerated and rampant in that Far East section.

Thank you for reading.
