One of the nine known states known to have nuclear weapons, Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal and doctrine are continually evolving. Pakistan aims to create a nuclear triad of its own, making its nuclear arsenal resilient and capable of devastating retaliatory strikes.

Due to its geographical position, Pakistan faces a variety of security issues.

Pakistan’s nuclear program goes back to the 1950s, during the early days of its rivalry with India. President Zulfikar Ali Bhutto famously said in 1965, “If India builds the bomb, we will eat grass or leaves, even go hungry, but we will get one of our own.”

After the country’s 1971, the program became a higher priority. Experts believe the loss of territory, much more than reports that India was pursuing nuclear weapons, accelerated the Pakistani nuclear program. India tested its first bomb, codenamed “Smiling Buddha,” in May 1974, putting the subcontinent on the road to nuclearization.

Pakistan initiated the process by accumulating the necessary fuel for nuclear weapons, enriched uranium and plutonium. Dr. A. Q. Khan pioneered the project when he returned from west to his home country in 1975 with centrifuge designs and business contacts necessary to begin the enrichment process. Pakistan’s program was initially assisted by European countries.

When Pakistan tested its weapon for the first time, Benazir Bhutto, Zulfikar Bhutto’s daughter, claimed that her father told her the first device was ready by 1977. A member of the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission said design of the bomb was completed in 1978 and the bomb was “cold tested” in 1983.

When India tested six bombs in a span of three days, Pakistan conducted a similar rapid-fire testing schedule, setting off five bombs in a single day and a sixth bomb three days later.

What's to feared about as they are for self defence only? Do we need this thread as what's new in this thread which has not been discussed countless times before other then to keep us in the head lines and keeps maligning our country.
In the todays world economy is the king and soft power is the heads turner not the decades old news. Why Indian and Israelis nuclear programs are not feared or not in the head lines cos people like us are giving our nation a bad name. Closed the bloody thread not needed or required. If some new delivery system comes along then we will open a new thread not an old story is repeated and rehashed for silly boy ego.

What a tactically devastating thread---? Have you no sense what to poste here---. Have you no sense that y ou never brag about your nuc strength or any other tactical strengths---.

From where do you kids learn these acts of stupidity to let your nation come to the lime light of notriety without any reason---.

Have you ever heard israel even talk about their nuc---or how many they hve---or far their delivery capabilities are---? Never---.

Then why do you have to brag about it---.

Are you so wrothless and weak that whenever you get something that makes you stronger---you have to show off in front of the world---.

This thread should be deleted---.

I have similar concerns. I think you should change the thread title @GlobalVillageSpace although the article isn't bad.

Hi,

We should never mention anything ever about our nuc program at all---or other tactical weapons---.

This kind of bragging has never served any nation in the world at anytime---.

Nothing good has ever come out of bragging about your hidden strenghts and making them public---.

True that. The article looks like a public consumption/chest thumping piece.

Look at the articles posted by this handle. They are created as clickbaits; just for few clicks for your website don't contribute to the yellow journalism. We already have plenty of them doing damage to the image of our country. @GlobalVillageSpace @WebMaster

It is most feared because only nations who are crazy enough to use nuclear weapons in huge numbers after united states and russia and china is pakistan and perhaps israel when threatened with aggression.

We are among the most likely nations to nuke our adversary on battlefield even if it means mutually assured destruction.

With usa and russia they fear death and both stop at mutual death. They only fight to win and kill opposite side, while we the pakistaniz would gladly die while also mutually killing our adversary.

When threatened anyone would agree for it but a muslim and Pakistani would prefer it as we are a warrior nation and we are not afraid of death or what comes after it we prepare all our lives every moment for our death and when we see it we accept it with open arms.

That makes us most dangerous for those who love life of this world over what is real.

We simulate this often and are one of the few nations ready to nuke bigger adversary who we cant fight with conventional weapons.

There is a reason why Israel never talks about its N-program. They always try to play the card of the victim rather than the aggressor. Remember, you need to create this soft image of Pakistan and not some country that is known for its weapons.

I think what's 'feared' is the fact that we are known to push back, if we're pushed.

It's good to remind the enemies periodically how powerful Pakistan is and the devastating consequences of what we can do. Being a powerful nuclear power is a no win status, as you will always be a target for nuke retaliation and it requires Pakistan to spend huge amounts to maintain and protect our deterrence. A little article like this has insignificant contribution to anti-Pakistan propaganda but does give a morale boost to some Pakistanis. There is no tactical damage what is damaging to us are the Hindjews spreading their continuous anti-Pakistan propaganda and that needs to be countered by whatever means necessary.

These are kids, ignore them. I know, for few years about certain weapons Pakistan poses, but I will never utter a word. I have not seen a threat on this site about them either. Pakistan has lot more in their kitty, I can assured everyone. We Leave it to that.
