Why MiG 29 UPG Matters?

Weren’t allowed to engage across the LoC, else there was an instance when 4 F-16s were locked up by MiG-29s but were not given clearance to use their missiles, don’t know the reality but I read it somewhere.
Same was the case when a FORMATION of F16s tailed a flight of 5 Fulcrums for 20 minutes. The IAF pilots completely oblivious to the F-16 presence, only once the Indian GCI warned them the Migs jinxed so violently that they almost crashed into each other.

Mirage 2000 fighter aircraft were used for directing artillery fire through the Forward Air Controllers. At this juncture, as the aircraft were flying at altitudes of 25-30 km from the objective, the effect of neutralization on ground could not be ascertained. The Air Force now exploited the potential of Thermal Imagery. This was a success. It was good to see innovations being carried out and efforts made to neutralize targets.
