Just from the stragetic point of view..

China has good relations with Pakistan and won't risk losing it over irrelevant Afghanistan because if China was to lose Pakistan India will be let out of the pakistani choke-hold and China sees Pakistan as useful element to contain India which has been successful and cut of India from the mainland Asia. Losing this would give China to many fronts and weaken their stragetic positioning and long term planning.

China won't risk clashing with Turkey and Pakistan in Afghanistan this could be a major war and costly without stragetic value for them and the only course is to avoid it. Turkey and Pakistan are already in Afghanistan and won't allow foreign elements in the country but only them to gain their interests hence why China backs Pakistan stance on Afghanistan in that way China gets the BRI without difficulty and all her interests but Pakistan's position is Afghanistan to reach politiical settlement is strong and won't tolerate any form of foreign entity in it's backyard anymore because it destablizes also Pakistan having a war waging in your neighbour and Pakistan has learned to not repeat this again which is their new red-lines and nobody will be able to cross that red-line. Turkey's main role here is to assist Pakistan and advance her economical interests and the same with China to advance their economical interests Pakistan will allow it

China doesn't need anyone's permission to enter Afghanistan if she wants to. You don't understand the psyche of the nation when it is going to be next super power.

that is not how the world works.. Try to cross a heavily armed nuclear power as if it was nothing and see what happens.. Unless you want WW3 just not realistic.. Do you really think anyone wants that.. For a place that has no stragetic value weakening your position, openning to many fronts against you, losing to many friends ending up in isolation and on top of that world war for it.. Just nah

Turk got nothing to do with Afghan. Pakistan influence on Afghan is due to pashto people. In the long run, the trajectory of Afghan will be falling back to Iran sphere.

Afghan is always very iranic. And even Taliban never question the status of Dari.

Afghanistan will have to settle down before China shows any interest on the ground.

China will advance her economical interests once Afghanistan settles down and get involved in the re-construction phase. Pakistan's main interest is peaceful afghanistan it doesn't matter whether it is Afghan gov't or taliban that comes to gain power because if there is chaos in Afghan it will effect Pakistan's economy and this is what has been effecting her economy.. It is critical to Pakistan's economy that Afghanistan gets peace without foreign elements causing chaos this is the absolute red-line.. Re-construction of Afghanistan is the main interest in Pakistan..

China has now make friends with Pakistan and Iran. The BRI will benefit Afghan which has a lot of mine. Ultimately in the long run, Afghan will be more Iranic, rather than Sinitic or others.

Politically China is more interested in consolidating Vietnam, Mongolia, Japan Korea, then follow by Myanmar, Laos, Thailand than Afghan.

It is definitely not because Pakistan, turkey Or Iran.

China is having a good relationship with Pakistan almost after 2005.....

Depends on their national interest, and it suits for China then they will take a risk to enter in AF.

How do you mean they are policing?

USA has played the global police man role for decades. China will not do the same.

I never said Iran but rather Turkey.. If Pakistan says no not a single mosquito will enter that is just how geo-politics work. Nobody will cross Pakistan's red-lines over things that has no stragetic value for others

my main thought is

if China decides to get involved in some sort of conflict, would China be able to finish it unlike the US?

Its China which has pre-empted any Indian aggression against Pakistan by taking hold of an area in Ladakh the size of Dehli city.

Look at the map and you will understand whos the main gate against India but China herself has been containing India but the main gate-holder is Pakistan and China has been investing in Pakistan to contain them.. India is sort of cut of from the Asian Mainland by Pakistan
