At 12 o clock on Saturday, 23rd Aug me and 5 of my friends spent the worst weekend night in our lives. To be short, we just entered a Snooker club in G'Jauhar, Karachi to call a friend and pick him up while we and all the other people, 40 in total, were detained by a group of policemen who wouldn't let us leave the club. They grabbed our phones, money, watches and all the other stuff except cloths and made a big bag of all that stuff while pointing their guns on us which made us think that we were just being snatched by the snatchers in police uniform, until they escorted us to Shahra e Faisal police station. After detaining us for couple of hours at the station they called the snooker club owner and started some negotiation. During all that 3-4 hours scene, we weren't allowed to move and there was no water and we were not being made aware of our mistake or reason for detention.
The club owner told us that the police had been demanding Rs. 2 lacs from him and that we'd be out in an hour as SHO was supposed to finalize the deal. Still, we didn't know why we were there and when would we be allowed to go home.
Then something reversed the deal and the police officers angrily ordered us to enter the locker and started slapping everyone, of course for no reason. We couldn't ask the reason for such treatment unless we really wanted to be slapped for several times.
Anyway, we remained in locker for 5 hours without any updates. One of the guys saved his phone and eventually we thought about calling our homes and let them know that we were alive. As usual our families were very stressed and some of them even went out looking for us. Then they started letting some of the 40 guys out on personal bail. We still didn't know the charges for which we were being held. Fortunately, we also rang our other friends who came shortly and started the process of getting us out by filling the big mouths of the corrupt police. Only then we came to know that we were charged with gambling, which, of course, none of the 40 of us did. They haven't returned our stuff yet. Of course, they wouldn't apologize!
Some say they filed an FIR but what could be the real reason?
I want to avenge all this. How to proceed?

Get a good law bureau on your side, and screw each and everyone of the Police officers. Trust you me, a good lawyer can f*** them a million times harder than what they did to you guys. A good law firm is your best friend, it's like Krypton to Police! :D

By the time all is done, screw them more during settlement. Trust you me, you can win it blind with a few good lawyers. After all of this is done and settled, haunt them with more troubles. I personally wouldn't stop, till their children licked my arsehole and apologized, but that's just me! :D

It depends. If you are well-connected and well-resourced in Pakistan, it can be rectified. If not, you takes your knocks and you moves on.

Police mafia is a dangerous group to face, they loot u legally with Guns, forget it as a nightmare and move on. Ya phir nehle pe dehla nikalo.

While we were inside the lockup someone said, "Bahir saare PR wale khare hein" (All waiting outside have sound back/resources)". But still they did and with a laughing face. No one is there to question them.

I have to have too much money and, of course, a good backup, to challenge them. I think it doesn't work like this here. I'd do that if i could expect only judgement and an apology rather than money but I know there will be worst circumstances.
One thing we all know, police in Pakistan is mostly working for their own and highly corrupt department in Pakistan. And what I noticed is that the level of corruption increases with the rank.
