I always imagined when people would start thinking out of the box. I for one do not support any party but I am often labelled as PTI because every sane human being residing inside or outside Pakistan considers PTI to be the the counter productive or else strong opposition for PMLN. but then again let us put our ethnicity, religion, sectarianism, provincialism, racism behind and think as Pakistanis. where are we standing from Last 70 years? are we still not the same Pakistan as we were in 1947? for people as dumb as we are we consider infrastructure to be a mod of development, yet we talk about system we fail everywhere. just debated with a gentleman who was proving his point by saying "Sir ji Chori ki ya nai ki, Corrupt hain ya nai hain liekin ye dekhien awam k lie kia kiya, Roads banai motorway banaiy pull banaiy metro banai"
I had nothing to say but feel sorry for the chap I explained to him.
"Metro banai boohut acha kaam kia, per muje btain kia metro insaani jaanu se ziada aham ha? jahan metro k lie alag route bichaya ja sakta ha wahan Ambulances k lie ussi road pe ek line mukhtas nahi ki ja sakti? Rawalpindi se Islamabad metro 3 baray hospitals k samnay se guzarti ha. liekin is k bawajud ambulance ko gantu traffic me phunsna parta ha. kia hakumat awam ki sahulat k lie har hospital k samnay interchange bana kar ambulances k lie rasta nahi de sakti thee? doosri baat metro Islamabad se atay huay Naala Lai k bughal se ho kar nikalti ha. kia isi naala lai ko khaali kar k or gehra kar k deewaru ko concrete kar k naalay k upper Concrete slabs daal kar band nahi kia ja sakta thaa? is se aap ki roads beshbaha khulli ho jati kiu k concrete ki slabs per aap roads bana saktay thaay or Pir Wadai or Faizaabad ki traffic ka issue humesha k lie solve ho jata.? or awaam ki falah k lie metro to bana li liekin 50 saal pindi me chalnay walay 2 hospitals ki renovation tuk na karwa sakay? Rawalpindi institute of cardiology banaya per kis kaam ka. ECG ki appointment 1 saal baad ki milti ha". Agar aap meri jagha hoon or soochien k infrastructure me asal faida kis ka ha. Awam ka ya Sharif steel mills ka?

aap sub se request hain k aisi or b developments ka tazkara is thread me karien jo positive se ziada negative impact rakhti hain.

P.S Indians are to stay away from this thread. As this is purely internal matter.

Pakistan's progress is dependent on how we equip our millions of young Pakistanis with education and skills to take on the challenges of the 21st century. An educated population will automatically stand on her feet and will not need loans to build metros and flyovers.

All political differences aside most of us want Pakistan to progress (except for a few who are paid to have a certain opinion). Pakistan can only progress if we have world class institutes that take in talented people and hone their skills and mental abilities to produce citizens that are not only sharp but also open-minded to accept and understand new concepts. We also need a system of merit where the only criteria for hiring someone is how does his/her talent match up to the requirement of the job, and not who does their dad know.

You bring talented people forward and give them breathing space and then Pakistan will automatically progress.

Why is it that these same Pakistanis when they go abroad and get a system of merit quickly rise to the top? We are a very intelligent, hard working nation but unfortunately we have never had rulers in our 70 year history who would realize this potential and will work for the betterment of the nation rather than their own pockets.

We also need to work on our image. Nobody wants to invest somewhere often labelled by Western media as terrorist HQ, for many people Pakistan in their minds is just a backwards terror filled desert.

The only way to fight this view, and therefore encourage investment is to promote a 'soft image' of Pakistan overseas. This can be done through various ways; for example, promoting tourism, promoting Pakistani film and music, Hiring PR firms, encouraging Hollywood to film in our landscapes, etc...

Once a positive image of Pakistan is created, businesses will flock to invest, because right now investment is slow and solely coming from (state sponsored ) Chinese firms.

I also will say that unless PMLN fixes their massive widespread corruption, there will be little investment because this is by far the biggest obstacle for foreign businesses. Many firms including Disney have actually left Pakistan in the last few years citing poor governance as the reason.

Well said, i agree with you 100% and i will add health and a fair judicial system into the mix together with educational system as the base from where all progressive states rise through

Sorry but vould you please expand on the topic of discussion?

For any society to progress the badic fundamental is rule of law which Pak lacks .Pak has no future without it and all the progreses will be flawed .Noon league is not a party its a gang of bussinessmen and landlords mix with civil and military Establishment .NS is theior face out in society nothing more .
