@Rakesh, some years ago I got invited by a nice Indian PDF member to a closed Facebook group that consisted of mostly Indians who were also from PDF. In a matter of months most of the Indians there ganged up on me and I had to leave the group.

Believe me when I say that many Indians on the internet have a mob mentality.

May be you bored them with your socialism posts.

Or may be you could not differentiate between "Vasudhiva Kutumbakam" versum "Ummat".

Average Indians dont like brainwashed folks who lack basic logic.

For e.g. if I ask you, "how big a sin is idolatry in islam?", your answer may depend on the questioner, the forum, the situation etc etc. In reality, you know the answer, I know the answer. But still you may try to camoflauge it by trying to be "secular" & diplomatic. No one will like this camouflaging. The only way out is, give the answer (known to all) & call it wrong OR do not expect to be completely acceptable in a forum of people who are those SINNERS. You cant have the cake & eat it too.

The above is JUST ONE example.

Many people don't realise that if only the desired opinion is allowed the whole thing becomes an echo chamber and ceases to be a discussion forum. In many cases that is a bad thing (there are obviously exceptions).

The point of these forums is to have civil discussion where you try to understand the other. Even if the other is your enemy, rather especially so, because it is very important to understand the mentality of those who oppose you.

So long as civility is displayed there should be open discussion. I also feel that uncivil and rude behaviour from Pakistanis should be kept in check as well. All that is being done by ignoring it is encouraging such behaviour and it benefits no one.

Problem with indians is that they all become rude, obnoxious, racist and vulgar. You can't have a civil discussion with an indian. That is FAR FAR worst than being an echo chamber.


Also, even if all indians were banned here, PDF would never become an echo chamber because we would be discussing our internal issues and the solutions for helping Pakistan progress. That is far better than just being a platform for exposing indian propaganda and disinformation.

I would agree to a very large extent that, in general, Indians Forums entertain Pakistanis to a lesser extent than PDF entertains Indians. That is my experience from a FEW Indian sites. 2 to be precise.

Reason is pretty simple. Indian forums already get a lot of traffic from Indians. Pakistanis can perhaps contribute a bit to it. I mean, if there are already 100 users visiting, Pakistanis may add 2 or 3 to it. These 2 or 3 hardly makes any difference to the site owners. They dont have to think much about "implication" of banning 2 or 3.

OTOH, if PDF bans Indian users, it will definitely lose a significant portion of traffic (and the related incentives, whatever they may be). This may be 25% or may be 40%, I dont know. but its a significant portion whose "implication" matters.

So, its no favor being extended to Indians by PDF by "not banning". Neither should Indians get on the high horse and demand PDF to be COMPLETELY UNBIASED OR NEUTRAL OR IDEAL OR PERFECT etc.

There should be a balance & allow diversity for sure.

Uhhh speaking about bias, not just indian forum but also Facebook, YouTube or any general social media site that with overwhelmingly indians population. They literally take bias to EXTREME level. I have been viewing this forum for quite a while and Pakistani have been extremely generous allowing indians to post here without banning them right away, plus many of the Pakistani members have been very neutral and polite unlike the extreme delusional characteristic of indians, try to do that in anything indian social site you'll be swarmed with flies!

In my many years of travel around Asia I have found that Pakistanis and Muslims are some of the most warmth and genuine people I have ever met, unfortunately my experience with indians generally have been disappointing. This is further evidently demonstrated on this forum, even-though how nasty the indians can be but Pakistani have shown their warmth and accepting their opinions here eventhough most of them are fake news and straight from the garbage dump, you need to be grateful that you are granted an audience here. So be nice!

I was just browsing through one thread. Came through this conversations.Both Indian and Pakistani members were trolling each other. But, Indian member was warned and his post was removed. Even he was categorically informed that Pakistani can post anything on PDF and Indians should be happy that they are allowed on PDF.
I never complain because I understand that this is Pakistani forum and your perspective will be given preference. What surprised me was an open admission that "We are Biased !".

Many of those Indians left to do just that, create an echo chamber. For years they are screaming this line here on PDF, but when chance came, they did just that.

I don't know why Indians expect Pakistanis to behave on a more tolerant level than they do. I mean, every poster will be judged by how they post, we should give a chance to everyone, but if our hospitality is abused and that poster tries to insult the army, religion, culture, or heritage of Pakistan, that should be a red line.

All above posters of Indian origin except Jamahir and HalfMoon have been posting fake news on this forum nonstop. Many of them are posting threads to defend Modi, RSS, and Hindutva. This forum is not for their free publicity, sorry.

It is also not the place to insult Kashmiris, Palestinians, Rohingya, or other Muslim brothers suffering occupation and oppression of vile regimes.

Unfortunately, aside from Indian Muslim posters and a few South Indians, all other Indian posters troll here and create unrest.

What is worse is when these Indians try to stifle the growth of Pakistanis to define themselves, their nation, and identity on this forum.

PDF must remain a safe place for Pakistanis to share openly their feelings, aspirations, and thoughts with other Pakistanis. This is what makes PDF unique.

Everyone comes here to read Pakistanis' views on various topics, this is why I do my part to try to portray the grassroots sentiment of Pakistanis on various topics such as foreign policy, etc.

I hope sir @WebMaster that we can push further in harnassing the latent potential of Pakistanis to galvanize our people to help Pakistan in all aspects.

It is not enough to just keep responding to the same old lies again and again, we need to create an alternative narrative.

Indians are allowed to participate, provided they don't abuse our people (INCLUDING Kashmiris,) military, government, culture, faith, and identity. Also false news of any kind cannot be tolerated. What more can they ask for?

That Indian members, by and large, do not follow these rules, is a testament to the moral and social degradation of India, and not the fault of PDF Admin or members.
