Were FC men killed in Afghanistan?

Omar Khalid Khurasani, heading the TTP group known as most rigid and extremist wing of Taliban in Pakistan is in Afghanistan and all the kidnapped soldiers were also killed in Afghanistan, credible sources said.

Khurasani in his statement had accused the Pakistani authorities and intelligence agencies of killing detained militants in a number of cities in recent days and weeks. He had declared that the FC soldiers were killed to avenge the deaths of the imprisoned militants.

Credible sources say the FC men were assassinated in different stages, most of them last month, also in Afghanistan.Khurasani issued his claims through his personal secretary on Sunday at a very crucial time with only one obvious objective to bring an end to the ongoing peace talks.

Khurasani has not presented any proof of timing and place of killing of 23 FC soldiers. If these soldiers were killed last month, the claim of killing as revenge also stands exposed, sources in the government say.

The biggest shock for the advocates of dialogue process on Monday was that the TTP spokesman did not condemn or disown the killings.Majority of analysts believe that the wrong policies of state institutions towards militant organisations and government’s silence over mushroom growth of seminaries, sectarianism and extremist organisations and proliferation of safe havens in almost all streets and roads of all our cities and towns has resulted in a situation where the option of controlling militancy through a military operation was not a good choice.

It was reported on June 15 and 16 of 2010 that 40 soldiers of the paramilitary Frontier Corps (FC) were missing in Mohmand tribal region and 10 of them were reported to be in the custody of the Afghan security forces. However, AFP had reported that more than 50 FC men were missing.

Military officials had then said a group of militants had attacked a post of the FC, located on the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan, in the mountains of the troubled Mohmand tribal region with small and heavy arms and kidnapped these soldiers. In a September 2013 statement, Khurasani has announced to not to accept the negotiations with Pakistani government.

FC troops killed in Afghanistan, not in Mohmand Agency: Secretary Defence | The News Tribe

this clearly goes on to show how vulnerable we are to the taliban/Afghanistan axis and we dont even have the means or will to seal the border to ensure that during operation, talibans wont run into Afghanistan and then start attacking on us !!

There have been alot of rumors on the net and also in my social circles that these killings were in Afghanistan and probably were done earlier...

Can't say anything definitively though as there is so much confusion and no independent way of verifying...nobody is 100% sure.

Only option is govt should conduct full-fledged operation in NW and kick out to TTP terrorists to their father Karzai ..........

Sir, those were the sons of Pakistan and soldiers of FC, who sacrificed their today for the tomorrow of our children. These fine people let go their ethnic identity before they proudly put on the uniform and take oath of protection of their homeland. Is there anything else remained to be know about them?

more to Know about them, this is not enough. There are more fine people who proudly put on the uniform but there is no one to even hit them. The fine people who are slaughtered by TTP belong to the a specific ethnic group, so there is more question to be Asked from Pakistani Government and TTP.

Ali saab this not an issue of proud and emotion it is a big game against us and we should open our eyes.
