The design seems to be tweaked modified to look alike latest european Tanks.
The design & protection is relatively a little different on physical areas than Al-Khalid/ AK 1 Tank or is it Pakistan Army has modified the Design and Protection to their needs either case this is impressive design in the tank world markets but so far the marketing does not seem good.

i think the one they're showing is a test model or other wise for their own use certainly an export model would have the instructions and labels be legible to the purchaser.

That's not correct.The world MBT trade is slowed down quickly due to no major conflicts,you will be quite lucky to get a more than 100 MBT order.Morroco already ordered 150 VT-1A and Bangladesh army ordered 44 MBT-2000/VT-1A,that's a nearlly 200 order for recent three years,Considering the current world MBT trade size,it's a big achievment.

According to the international arms market of the Russian Center July 20, 2010 report, the Russian center of the international arms market analysis recently published from 2006 to 2013 main battle tanks global market research. Report, and from 2006 to 2009 compared to 2010 to 2013 global exports of the new main battle tank size will increase by 20%.
According to the data, the present situation, from 2006 to 2013, the world’s main battle tank of not less than 4515′s total exports, worth more than 16.54 billion U.S. dollars; which number more than 2478 new tanks, worth 14.75 billion U.S. dollars, respectively, of the total export volume of 54.9% and 89.1% of the total export value. 2006 to 2009, the new tank for the 1117 export volume, export value was 66.5 billion U.S. dollars. Regard to the existing contract, has announced the purchase intention and tender situation, from 2010 to 2013 exports will reach 1,360, worth 8.09 billion U.S. dollars, up respectively 21.8% (volume) and 21.6% (value).
In the new main battle tank suppliers in the 2006 and 2013 the export volume terms, ahead of Russia, the number is 1341, worth over 4.31 billion U.S. dollars. Which, from 2006 to 2009 Russia exported a total of 488 main battle tanks, worth 1.57 billion U.S. dollars; regard to the existing contract, has announced the purchase intention and tender situation, from 2010 to 2013, Russia’s main battle tank exports will be 853, worth about 2.75 billion U.S. dollars.
In second place was the United States, from 2006 to 2013, export volume and export value was 507 and 53.4 billion dollars. Which, from 2006 to 2009 the export volume and export value were 209 and 15 million; 2010 to 2013 the export volume and export value were 298 and 38.4 billion dollars. Although the U.S. main battle tank is far lower than Russian exports, but exports are slightly better than with Russia.
Third place is Germany, from 2006 to 2013 the export volume and export volume was 414 and 42.5 billion dollars. Morroco deal is sure and confirmed,Peru orderd few hundred but the deal is cancered due to the engine issue.Not very sure if the Morroco supply is finished or not.

Prolly no. IIRC China even has no any production line of MBT2000 but I could be wrong.
