Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif Wednesday said that Pakistan army believes in the stability of democracy and supremacy of the law and Constitution.

Not going to post the full news as most of you guys don't bother reading anything that you don't agree with.
Anyways, he has put an end to all the speculations as he has clearly stated that he respects the constitution of Pakistan and he believes in the supremacy of the law.

ISLAMABAD: In a ceremony held to mark Youm-e-Shuhada (Martyrs Day) and honour the armed forces personnel, Chief of the Army Staff General Raheel Sharif said that the sacrifices and blood of the martyrs will not go in vain.

In his speech, the COAS paid tribute to the personnel of Pakistan Army, Rangers, Levies, Frontier Constabulary and police, stressing that their role in maintaining peace and stability in the country will always be remembered.

“The Army supports each and every effort to restore peace,” he said, and added: “All anti-state elements should come join national mainstream.”

General Sharif said the people of Pakistan have always supported Army and “it’s the nation which actually fights the wars.”

He hoped that with each new day, the relations between the civilians and the armed forces will continue to strengthen.

True. Yesterday Nawaz told the Brits that "Pakistan won't tolerate attacks from Pakistani soil upon another country" - that is, he doesn't recognize such things are even happening. So Raheel can make all the "very positive" comments he wants since he realizes he won't have to follow through.

Forget the terrorist sanctuaries, I found this quote even funnier:

"Pakistan is an open and tolerant society": Nawaz Sharif tells an investors conference in London.

Yeah, right! :D
