Islamabad, Oct.23 (ANI): Concerned over Pakistan's nuclear activities, US officials have been keeping an eye on the Kahuta nuclear site since 2003 through its Police College Training College in Sihala, which is situated close to the site.

According to sources, the American base, which is situated on a vast piece of land, is surrounded with high rise walls from all sides, so much so, that no one even from the senior college management is allowed to enter the prohibited zone.

Officials said US authorities have also installed a large signboard prohibiting foreigners from entering the region.

"The Americans have also placed containers as makeshift facility inside the said compound within the college boundaries," The Nation quoted officials, as saying.

Senior Pak officials have been continuously raising questions over US' interference, however, their concerns have gone unnoticed, the report said.

They argue that even if this Americans training center was necessary, why such a sensitive area had been chosen, risking the secrecy and sensitivity of nuclear installations in the country. (ANI)

Although unsourced, if true, it would make a great deal of sense for this to be the case.

i would question the veracity of this post - and just for the record, there is nothing of value left in kahuta now. it remains prohibited and thats for security purposes - our nuke program has moved on......

This is a stupid post really!

Kahuta is nothing but an empty shell these days.

GoP has installed signs leading to the roads into Kahuta which prohibits the entry of foreigners for obvious reasons.

US has put up no such signs and the shooting center at Police College Sihala is being used by all agencies of Pakistan (ISI, IB, FIA etc) for weapons training. The shooting range was established by the US on request form the GoP to have enhanced weapons training for LE officers of Pakistan.

Point is not Kahuta still nuclear facility or not the point is WHY THESE AMERICANS AND AMERCAISN AGENCIES Crusing around ISlamabad and other Pakistan important places ????
