When I was a child, a very catchy story was that in a Chinese railway station, people always found foreigne tourists getting together and taking photos in front of the trains, finally someone asked them why and they explained that they had never seen an operational steam engine train, these ancient trains can be only found in museums in their countries, and they were very psyched to see one.
Since then, China just changed this whole history in merely 20 years time.
