US should endorse India's UNSC bid, says McCain

It may be a big deal to deploy 200k for country like BD but it's not a big deal to deploy 200k for world's second largest populated country.

It doesn't matter how much you deploy bro, the only thing that matter's is at the end of the day the country's "PEACEFUL".

You think India is not capable with world's 2nd populated, fastest growing economy and it's major defense background.

Okk let us consider what you said is true. Do you know what was the condition of China while it was offered permanent UNSC it was more miserable while considering today's India. But see them now they have evolved, Same will be the case with India.

I am truly glad that no one was killed or injured following the verdict.

I was just arguing the point about communal harmony in India. I don't think it should be a sticking point, but opposing forces will throw everything at India. Thats the reality.

Obama avoided the UNSC issue by saying its too complicated. I don't know how he will explain it if some journalist ask him to do so.

My question is do obama really gonna stay after 2012 ? ? Recent polls shown everything crystal clear . No doubt he is a good speaker but he failed to work accord to his big talk.. Just look at the obama visit to india ,aint he act like salesperson of year and missing core issue ,what was expected by john macain before this visit..india don't need to prove itself at UN SEAT ? ? If they cant endorse a billion plus with 700-800million middle class and a peaceful ,largest democratic and emerging power then the heck with UN SEAT ,let them keep it and shove down their throat . We have lot of work to do to make our nation 1CE AGAIN as GOLDEN BIRD OF EAST.Lets dont waste our resource and time in this.

we have to wait for few more years till republicans back in power... obama is going for sure.

First thing first, let dont try to eat the entire cake in 1 go

U.S is lifting the ban on DRDO,ISRO and other organization's

Dual use tech is allowed now

and the most crucial,U.S is supporting our entry inside NSG,Wassenaar convention and Missile control tech, that a lot for now

UNSC can wait for some more time

Sir they allowed this ??
I dnt know about this

means that will b allowed before Obama leaves Delhi, the deal was done already in the strategic circles even after the nuclear deal, they just need an official seal

USA will not support India right now and i believe it shouldn't but the reason for that is certainly not what some Pakistani members here think.

Communal problems are there in every pary of the world including USA itself . There are divisions and some anti muslim and anti immigrant sentiment there as well. They cannot reject india's bid for that reason.India still has problems relating to communal strife, however it is much more mature as compared to 10 or 20 years ago.Things will only improve as the incomes and job levels improve in the country.

About the CWG , lets face it - Those with an unbiased mind know that it was a success and all the problems that hit the Games were sorted out before the games even started but ofcourse jealous and biased mind will still call it a fiasco , so that too is not a matter of concern and as someone else had pointed out , the US most certainly doesnt care about the CWG games . The games only showed the world how free the indian media is and how the strong the indian democracy is rather than any imaginary internal fissures some people here saw.

THE main reason i believe India will not and should not get it now is because we are still a very poor country and inspite of all future estimates our economy is not that large yet. However it is estimated that by 2020-25 India will become a middle income country from the poor country that it is today and will also become the 3rd/4th largest economy in the world , that is when the UNSC will be compelled to add india to its permanent member ranks. Hence , i believe getting rid of our poverty and developing the economy fast should be our first priority , if that happens , we wont have to chase the seat , the seat will chase us.

india will not get usa endorsement for unsc seat because of us dependency on pakistan. i think in few years, the situation will be more stable and republicans will be back and we will have the real chance.

^^ China was nowhere close to where we are today when China was given the UNSC membership.

Pease don't confuse Von Holle with facts, with reality.

Wake up and smell the coffee. Recent history certainly speaks to the contrary.

UP almost went on a lock down to prepare for the Babri verdict.

Mr. Chidambaram said almost 200,000 security forces have been deployed to keep the peace in Uttar Pradesh after the verdict.

This is Obama's statement about India's bid for UNSC,

US should endorse India's UNSC bid, says McCain - Rediff.com India News

Your conclusions are illogical.

Your point is "a country like US(cut throat capitalists) are averse to supporting India(for UNSC seat) because of issues like boundary disputes and communal tensions" ..whereas countries like , Britain, Russia, France(closet socialists) are ready to support India despite the above..Why?? .. clearly something is missing in your narrative.

As far as Babri issue concerned..it was expected that courts decision will invoke communal tensions..but contrary to govt's belief nothing happened..clearly shows that India has moved on!!

1. All border dispute with Russia has been solved. Please stop trolling.
2. There is never border dispute with Tibet. Tibet is a part of China like mumbai is a part of india.

please keep in mind: you have freedom fighters fighting hard in your nation to seek independence, it is not in india/indians' interest to say anything regarding tibet. Because you don't want to see Chinese funding flow to those freedom fighters in your nation.

please just imagine, what happens if say China provides 100 million USD to each of those major groups per year.

BEST ANSWER BY UR COUNTRY FELLOW MAN:toast_sign:

China received a permanent UNSC seat in 1945. At that time, our country was in a mess. Not only because of the Japanese genocide against us in WW2, but also because of the Chinese civil war which was still ongoing.:toast_sign:

That is true.

There are 40,000 US troops in S. Korea. There hasn't been any major conflict between N and S Korea in last 60 yrs or so. I don't think one can draw a conclusion that its all hunky-dory at the DMZ.

There is nothing wrong in accepting the reality.

No country should endorse the world's largest hypocrisy's UNSC bid.
