Those maps seems wrong to me. The Mediterranean Sea is not the Atlantic Ocean. The Persian Gulf and Red Sea are not the Indian Ocean.

It was quite a rough ride for the Alvand...

If you think Iran doesn't have the capability to build ships capable of sailing to U.S. territorial waters then your badly mistaken!!!!!! Iran builds cargo vessels that can easily reach U.S. shores if they chose too & Iran can easily use the haul of that ship to create a platform that can easily reach U.S. shores if they chose too! Iran's Navy 680ft long Kharg vessel can easily reach the U.S. BUT Iran is NOT the aggressor or out to create tensions!

U.S. is purposely trying to create tensions to create international pressure for further sanctions on Iran!!!!!! They want a Ballistic Missile version of the JCPOA! That is why they do it!

Again it's 50km across! if you wanna stay in international waters it's only 3km across that's what they mean by it being narrow! U.S. can easily & with permission sail it's ships in Omani waters or choose not to come on the edge of Iranian territorial waters on purpose!

And they don't just sail on the edge of Iranian waters! They come into Iranian waters, Iran dispatches ships & they quickly move out & park on the edge of Iranian territorial waters & complain as to why Iranian ships come on the edge of their own territorial waters!

When their ships were caught on the shores of Iran's Farsi Island they were still spinning the story as if they owned the place & it was all Iran's fault!!!!!!!!!!

It's not a highway brother it's 50km across!

And...? Not all of that highway is passable, and you don't want to get too close to the shore.

25km or more from Iranian territory none of this will happen!

Iranian territory includes maritime borders. Under UNCLOS States are allowed to have up to 12 nautical miles (22 km) of waters away from their borders. If they stayed 25 km away from Iranian waters they would be just 3 km away from Omani shores!

I'm opposed to the USN being in the Persian Gulf at all, doesn't mean we should push to change shipping lanes. That affects the entire world you know. Face it, whether the USN is 25 km or 0 km away from Iranian waters doesn't make difference with the sort of range they have. At this point we are just talking about enforcing borders not repelling attack.

Why would you assume that's what I think? Is you inferiority or prosecution complex playing up again?

Fantastic.

Impressive that you know exactly what the US wants. You must have fantastic connections in the US government and/or military.

Again, look at the map with channels for international shipping. You can't sail where it is not deep enough, that's why there are shipping channels.

Being on the edge of territorial water or even being in them isn't necessarily illegal. See Chinese navy in Alaskan waters (no US complaints by the way, which is telling).

If I were you, I would cry too.
