The news is credible. Foreign sectary Boris Johnson visited Pakistan several months ago and was shown the work going on with regards to the CPEC and he was impressed. He stated openly that this is something that British firms will be a part of, and this news just reinforces what he said.
The UK is making major strides towards Pakistan, for example we just had the RAF chief visit, twin squadrons together and offer his support. The PA chief is here right now on a three day visit, visiting his British counterparts. We have this economic news and so on. It's part of establishing old alliances again.

Haha nice propoganda i would have believed it if it would have been reported by BBC,The Guardian,Telegraph or The Independent....

Jean Marc Fenet, head of the Embassy of France’s Regional Economic Department for India and South Asia, expressed his country’s interest in becoming part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. Addressing the business community at the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), Fenet said France views Pakistan as a huge and prosperous market for business.

All good. However, there is clear disconnect with the people who are in charge of UK economic and business ties to the ones who are the British establishment, more precisely, the Intelligence setup, the likes of MI6. Its seems there is a old school lot who are still in charge of British establishment who are not reconciling with this new emerging world order. Tresa May will do herself a favor, specially in post BREXIT phase to get rid of the individuals from important posts who are still working on old doctrines.

UK providing 'safe abode' to Altaf Hussain, Baloch leaders: NSA Janjua

National Security Adviser (NSA) Lt Gen (retd) Nasser Janjua on Tuesday, while meeting a delegation of the British Parliament visiting Pakistan, said that the United Kingdom is "unfortunately" choosing "individuals" over its relationship with the state

In this context, today's event cannot have taken place at a better time. The focus of this Roundable meeting has high significance in advancing the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. It provides a spotlight on this key pilot project of the Belt and Road initiative.

The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is at the intersection of the Belt and the Road. It is known as the "opening theme" of the "Belt and Road symphony". It is an excellent example of how the Belt and Road principles have been put into reality. It is where decisions are made together, actions taken jointly and benefits shared among partners.

The success of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor is best illustrated in three aspects.

First, the foundation is solid.

China and Pakistan are close neighbours. The friendship between the two countries runs deep in the heart of our two peoples. In Pakistan, people have described the China-Pakistan friendship as: "higher than mountains, deeper than the ocean and sweeter than honey."

(extracts from H.E Ambassador Liu Xiaoming speech at the CPEC round table)

The highlight red part is very important. CPEC is the "pilot project" of OBOR, which underline the importance of it to be successful for OBOR to see the completion. Without CPEC success, there wont be any OBOR.

After Brexit, it is a great time to get close the UK which is still a big power and a key player at international level. Hope we do invite them and they do become part of CPEC in some shape or form.
