DUBAI, Nov. 17 (Xinhua) -- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Vice President Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Sunday opened the Dubai Airshow 2019 at the Dubai World Center, reported the official WAM news agency.

Airbus and Boeing are set to battle for new orders from local and regional carriers at the Dubai Airshow in the wake of Boeing's 737 MAX grounding, slow global economy and gloomy geopolitical situation, according to Khaleej Times website.

Aviation analysts said a good number of new orders are expected at the biennial civil and military exhibition running from Nov. 17 to 21.

Some defense deals could also give a shot in the arm for the mega event.

Emirates airline is also expected to sign a final order for Airbus A350 and A330neo jets in addition to confirming its 15 billion U.S. dollars commitment for 40 Boeing 787 Dreamliners and a possible reshuffle in an order for 777X, which is expected to be operational by early 2021.

Still a long way to go. The fairs present not only the systems matured, but also wills that is being planned so UAE should firstly reveal prototypes which is properly working on field, then They will be appreciated.

I agree, but Turkey is a "Western" country and release their tests, videos, etc much quicker and more organized. UAE grouped into EDGE group so it seems much more organized and I will check in the future.
More info is on these websites, but sadly no videos.

We produce two lines of drop-launched, unpropelled, precision-guidance kit systems. These air-to-surface kits incorporate aerodynamic tail control to guide down-range, cross-range, and back-range directioning. The Thunder system provides guided delivery for NATO STD warheads of MK81, MK82 and MK84, while the Desert Sting system provides delivery for warheads ranging from 5kg to 35kg.

Thunder
system

The Thunder system is a cost-effective, short-range guided kit system. It is designed to provide guided delivery of standard MK81, MK82 and MK84 GP aerial munitions. Combining an inertial measurement unit and global navigational satellite system measurements, the system guides the munitions to a pre-programmed target coordinate. A semi-active laser seeker can optionally be fitted to enhance precision.

The Thunder system is offered in P31, P32 and P4 configurations

Desert
StinG
SYSTEM

The Desert Sting system provides a high-altitude drop-launched, un-propelled guided kit system. Offering 100-, 129- and 176-calibre options, Desert Sting uses aerodynamic tail control to reach the target. An inertial measurement unit and global navigational satellite system measurements guide the system to the pre-programmed target coordinates. A semi-active laser seeker can optionally be fitted to enhance precision.

These systems offer the flexibility of configuration with multiple fuze options, including impact, height-of-burst (HOB) and proximity.

His is focused towards JF-17, this is general topic.
As far as I know, JF-17 is not in the show.

But sure I wouldn't care if they were merged.
The polite response would be: " If mods deem it appropriate, they should go ahead and merge both the threads, I have no issues".

A little bit of polishing, and you can still be a good gentleman, as long as you stay away from your pot brownies

Finally UAE has Hellfire/UMTAS/Brimstone equivalent in country. This is a great opportunity for UAE for exports, and arming of helicopters

UAE needs to increase its native population, too many foreigners there. They need to replace them with locals in the long-run.

Perhaps on the side a policy of if needed increasing non-UAE Arab population rather than Asian to upkeep and strenghten Arabism of the UAE.

UAE has the weapon producing capability to produce its own attack helicopter. It can also arm existing helicopters for export.
