The system sends some laser lights towards the missile head, and according to the reflections coming from there, it understands at which wavelength it is a seeker

and F-16 can fire SIPER Block2 missile from very long distance to intercept F-16V and RAFALE

you can only detect 300+ km range tracking has much lower range 150 km or less and you can't Fire your BVR at above 200 km because of no escape zone
