Turkish air force strikes in Northern Syria.

Airstrikes accomplish nothing if not followed by a ground campaign. Have we learned nothing from 2008?

The Syrian regime can carry out the ground operation when the Pkk has nothing left to sell to the regime. The current airstrikes are targeting oil wells, power stations, factories producing military fortifications such as the French LaFarge factory, so-called training camps and logistics bases. Rather than a front softening operation before a ground operation, seems to be aiming to increase the cost of the proxy organization PKK/PYD on the US, to the point where it is unbearable to carry... The higher the cost, the more Centcom's involvement with terrorist organizations and its adventurous blindness will become a domestic political tool.

You're very naive if you think Americans will let the SAA roll in just like that, even if you believed that Assad was strong enough to carry out such an offensive, this is a very poor take from you.

We need to strike when we have the upper hand.

What I am saying is very simple, once the oil wells and all the other covert economic banditry stops, the cost of Centcom's adventure will become self-defeating. US taxpayers should pay for every bullet fired, every bottle of booze opened by pkk ringleaders on their night binges. The regime's economic need for the PKK should disappear and the US should start paying for the terrorist organization it has nurtured out of its own pocket. Yes, we made a mistake from the very beginning, we saw the issue only 30 kilometers deep within our borders and that was not the source of the threat.

Not only for the regime and pkk a problem but also for americans, in the end wher are they getting ther electricity? Will they carry 24/7 fuel for ther generators?

US shot Turkish drone down that was targeting PKK last week? And Turkey then doing forceful strikes on PKK in presence of US military .... Turkish military has some spine unlike certain govt which boasts a lot ....

You think they give a **** about the oil which is funny. America is a net exporter of oil, if anything we're taking out their rivals at this point.
