China forces imams to dance in street

View attachment 191646

China has forced the imams of Xinjiang to dance in the street, and swear to an oath that they will not teach religion to children as well telling them that prayer is harmful to the soul.

World Bulletin / News Desk

In China, imams are being forced to dans, at the same time being made to make an oath to keep children away from religion - public servants are forced to brandish the slogan that "our income comes from the CKP not from Allah".

The imams of the mosques in the Xinjiang (East Turkestan) have been forerced to gather in a square dancing en masse. State Chinese news have said that in the name of "civilization" the imams have been forced to dance in the town square. At the same time they were forced to chant out slogans such as 'peace of the country gives peace to the soul". Many of the imams were forcibly given Chinese flags - the same demonstration also included university students.

During the speeches, young people were told to stay away from mosques, and that the prayer was harmful to ones health and instead were encouraged to dance. Female teachers were instructed to teach children to stay away from religious education and made to swear an oath that they will keep children away from religion.

@Horus

A very good decision. Maybe these mullahs get exposed to some humanistic activities and 21st century. As far as religious policies are concerned, PRC government is doing a very good job.

Are they serious with this? Why such a humiliation? Actions like this will only create more violance.
humiliation is what is in mullah's minds and thoughts.
PRC may be wrong in many things, but their religious policy is not one of them.

Freedom of religion is a human right, you might hate religion but you dont have the right to deny it to others just as nobody has the right to impose his religion at you.

typical Chinese daily activities.

you got to be kidding me saying this is 'forced'.
The problem is with the statements. Its very disrespectful to force a communities religious leaders to make statements like that. These types of events where people hold signs dance in unison etc are normal in communist countries.

Spreading hatred, inhumane acts and terrorism should not be allowed. Not all religions are equal, nor all of them should be allowed to be broadcasted. Islam is an enemy of civilization, and the source of spreading terrorism and hatred in a society. You may want to deny it, but it is the reality about it. When a muslim teaches BS stuff to his children and that child kills people, we cannot simply let them spread their so called religion under such pretexts.
Freedom of religion should not violate the civil law. That's a basic part of secularism. like how polygamy was banned for Mormons in contrast to their religion, and exactly like how 99% of islamic laws should be banned.

Pretty much.

Look at ussr;

In the period between 1927 and 1940, the number of Orthodox Churches in the Russian Republic fell from 29,584 to less than 500.

There were 20,000 mosques in Soviet Central Asia in 1917, fewer than 4,000 in 1929 and by 1935 it is known that there were less than 60 still functioning in Uzbekistan,

USSR anti-religious campaign (1928–41) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Look what Pol Pot did:

One estimate is that out of 40,000 to 60,000 monks, only between 800 and 1,000 survived to carry on their religion. We do know that of 2,680 monks in eight monasteries, a mere seventy were alive as of 1979. As for the Buddhist temples that populated the landscape of Cambodia, the Khmer Rouge destroyed 95 percent of them, and turned the remaining few into warehouses or allocated them for some other degrading use.

This is not evening mentioning the 10's of millions killed by these nut jobs.

Cry me a river, but reality is that muslim fanatics are number one terrorists of this world, not anyone else.

You are talking in a way if islam is equal to christianity or judaism or we are seeing daily christian or jewish suicide bombers. Christianity and Judaism are already dealt with very well in their home regions, west and Israel.

Well there are also Muslim countrys where extremism is dealt well such as Turkey, Azerbaijan, Balkan and Central Asia.
Try to be objective a little bit instead of being blinded by hate.

we are communist.......

Freedom of religion is a human right, you might hate religion but you dont have the right to deny it to others just as nobody has the right to impose his religion at you.
Why are we not denying it to the other millions of Muslims. If you talk minorities, we have party secretaries of entire provinces from our minorities, with generals and other major military rank and in the police force.

Religion, keep it to yourself, fine, but if you want to use it for separatism, we will clamp down.

Do I think we went over? Yes, are our policies right? Not all of them, but it's not from nowhere, and I don't know about Turkey, but separatism will not be tolerated.

That's like China saying the Kurds needs their country and we will arm and fund them.

Wtf, what does the uyghur have to do? You are talking bs! You don't have a cleu about whats happening ther. Same communist have reign over azerbadjan, don't forget.

How extremism is dealt with in Turkey?!!! A bunch of retarded fanatics are ruling Turkey for more than a decade. Balkan is also seeing genocides every other year, and muslims are pacified only because they are in absolute minority. Central Asia does not seem to be alright either in which its most populous country, Uzbekistan, is already screwed and their only safe regions are the ones who became muslims only in pretty recent centuries, and still have some kind of dual religious practice including old turkic paganism. Azerbaijan was also heavily influenced by Europe through Russia, and is the 4th Atheist country of the world by percentage, which has freed Azerbaijan from those stupid old chains. Even in the cases that you mentioned, only by removing islam in some good extent, some of these countries have reached to better social standards.

Eventually no mullah's will exist, islamic knowledge will disappear and no muslims will exist so your goal will be met one day.

疏勒乡村《小苹果》舞蹈引领新风尚
the picture and the article doesn't match.
if you can read Chinese, this is a 'Little Apple' (Chinese pop song) dancing competition, and the picture is the 'team of religion', there were teams of students, women, employees as well.

and swear to an oath that they will not teach religion to children as well telling them that prayer is harmful to the soul.
the original source is about anti-extremism not anti-religion. i question the credibility of the author and the source. the whole story is cooked up.

My goal?!!! I am just talking about what is good for those poor people.
