The Story of the Guantanamo Guard Who Converted to Islam

This is the tale of a Guantanamo guard who embraced Islam during his one year stay in the notorious detention camp. He arrived in the camp in the summer of 2003 and left by summer 2004. During the training he was told that the Guantanamo prisoners were the worst people and kill at will if given a chance. However with time Terry realized that most of the prisoners were disciplined, good natured (smiling in the face of hardship) and open to conversations. On the other hand, Terry found most of his colleagues to be racists, bigots and indulging in drinking and **** a lot. He was disheartened to see all the torture inflicted on the inmates by the guards. The inmates referred Terry as the "nice guard".
