The Red Corridor- a movement dividing India

The most important thing is that Kashmir should get freedom first and Inshallah they will get it. NE & sikkim are also not part of this artificial state anyway so they are bound to become independent, its just a matter of time. Don't know about naxals, but if they are fighting for India's poor and less privileged then they will also ultimately get success.

You should try remake of dipjol.

you do know that now we are in 2012 right? how about some latest news

The Maoists were scared of the construction of the Rs 30-crore police line spread over 72 acres on the outskirts as their movement would be restricted, a police official said.

And if Naxals get success, we will have a different govt in India.. So what's the point? Some dim wits do not realize that Maoists are not separatists.. They want to seize power using force instead of democratic elections.. On the lines of what military generals of Pakistan have done repeatedly over last 60 years..

from where u people get news like this...it's completely ridiculous.....

Ofcourse they are not seperatists, They have some ideological and political goals , Comparing them with Armed generals would not be the right comparision, Army is among a national institutions of any nation, while maoist aren't . TTP is just a seasonal name used by various groups and even don't consist of any common ideology niether they believe on any educational structure. So I don't think that it would be also comparable to maoists. as maoists do have a road map for achieving their goals and they are working on it from 3 decades and managed to get popular in Orissa, Eastern Maharshtra ,jharkand and Chattisgarh specially. while Andhra pradesh, west bangal , karanatka are still in under close threats. Even Rehabitalization process against them will requires potential alot by states administrations. describes that maoist have strong roots in several indian districts.

Every year you hear more and more areas getting affected with Moists. I don't know if they want liberation from India or not but they are surely growing.

Generally speaking in this thread, you would find most of the Indians making fun of this post and would try to ridicule poster as well as try to swing the topic back on Pakistan indicating Pakistan's threats. Hardly 5% of Indian members who are senior members would tend to post sensibly and rest of the members would try to be clowns.

Maoists in India can be said to be similar to that in Nepal - they are in power in Nepal, but their cause is not popular in India, hence no chance of them coming into power. Besides the methods used by them is akin to terrorism hence the para military and police action against them.

West Bengal and Bihar have almost been cleared of the dreaded Naxals. The two badly effected states are Jharkhand and Chattisgarh.

There has been significant decrease in the number of such incidents over the last two years(after the Dantewada incident). Most of the top Maoist commanders have either been killed or arrested including Kishan ji.

Infact the most surprising reason of the downfall have been the inner feud among the Lieutenants, most of them have either separated and formed their own organisation or surrendered.
