Thanks to the US secrecy disclosure act, the Last Shah has been proved to be right. It was a CIA ops of putting the Islamists and the communists inside the same crucible to cook the fall of his regime. According to the US documents, the Late Khomeni landed in Tehran with the US permission as the negotiations started long time back as he had moved to Paris via Turkey. The Turkish Intelligence, however, picked it up then and there.....

Why do you think the Baluchistan border is allowed to be kept so porous? The Pak Deep State is indispensable now, thanks to Putin's "forever war" being waged in Europe....

How come CIA has been conspiring against Iran since 1979 Islamic revolution?

General Soleimani was product of this same Islamic revolution, he was greatest enemy of AngloSaxon savages.

The CIA replaced a pro-US regime with an anti-US regime in one of the most powerful countries in the middle east? :coffee:

you are logical. I wish we could say something about the original poster :what:

Iran was not a pro US country.
Under the Shah it was equally independent minded country like present Khamanei state. Iran always wants to carve out its own destiny and longs for rejuvenation of Persian Empire.

For all we know Khomeini could have been helped onto power in order to put pressure on the Arabs after Oil Boycott, in addition to get rid of communist elements and thereby putting pressure on Soviets underbelly.

We need verifiable facts.

'For all we know' can end with '....Aliens did it.'

There is a big difference.
There are good reasons to believe it.
It would be beneficial for America under the circumstances during the cold war when Soviet was a serious threat and looked very capable to gain access to Indian Ocean. Also putting pressure on Arabs would make it more likely to accept US bases in the gulf, rationally, which it did.

Sorry I will take a friendly Iran over any of the above

Iranians are not friendly to each other. So gather all your coins and find a wishing well deep enough.

Are you suggesting that anti American sentiment in Iran had peaked with Soleimani and has been on a steady decline ever since his unfortunate demise?

Iran has problems with the old world not the new world.

The USSR was in Afganistan to make inroads into the Persian Gulf, which was then extremely important for the West's energy security.....

The Shah's Iran was in turmoil due to extreme internal dissention. The USSR was trying to incite the Iranian Azerbaijani regions, thanks to Haider Aliev ( a top politburo member with KGB background). The communists in Iran (the most powerful in the Muslim world) were in cahoots with the Kremlin. Given the circumstances, a Shia theocracy that can ruthlessly suppress the internal dissidents, keep the USSR at the bay, and take up a fight with the Sunni countries with the Shia presence was the call of the day......

The CIA had been in touch with Khomeni since 1964, as per the US documents....

piss on my grave the day america attacks iran
m sure he knew something we dont

The CIA would let Russia take precedence in an Ally they had considered more impressive at times than Israel?

Lol

If today the US was given the option to ditch every all in the middle east in favor of only having Iran and Israel it would take it.

This isn’t some “Iran and Israel” are the same comment so some jingoistic Iranian shouldn’t lose their panties - its pointing how the importance Iran has in the middle both from a geographical perspective and from a resource perspective to any geopolitical poles existing in the world.

You need to piss on his grave since USA and Iran had clashed for 3 times directly.

There are other examples but the mentioned 3 cases were open clash.

You are trying to associate Islamic revolution to CIA while i know that you have the mindset of Taliban. FYI, your kind from Qaeda to ISIS to Taliban and all other grouplets have been in bed with CIA since decades.

The Islamic Revolutionaries in Iran took the advantage, it is true. But it wasn't because of CIA support. It was because majority of Iranians wanted Islamic revolution not communist revolution.

The hesitance from American side was due to internal power of Iranian Revolutionary forces. What could USA do after all? They tortured revolutionaries by using SAVAK a branch of Israeli SHABAK in Iran. They did their best to stop Imam Khmeini from returning to Iran. They sanctioned all the flight insurance providing companies in France until an individual took the responsibility and cleared the way for that flight and hence he returned to Iran.

مکرو و مکرالله والله خیرالماکرین

You can't turn that light off because someone has promised us with this

يُرِيدُونَ لِيُطْفِئُوا نُورَ اللَّهِ بِأَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَاللَّهُ مُتِمُّ نُورِهِ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ الْكَافِرُونَ

Find your place in the last verse.
