The First F-15EX Fighter Jet Has Now Flown In Its Air Force Colors

Maybe if the Japanese rush out and buy a few hundred planes to replace the aging f-15Js that the Chinese are causing to be worn out then other buyers will believe the F-15EX is enough of a leap from the F-15 to be worth buying.

Can I ask you guys not to make this thread about India?

Well, you're talking about a fighter that Boeing is aggressively marketing to India for it's 114 MRFA contest. So it's relevant to the conversation.

You can talk about whichever other nation Boeing wants to sell F-15EXs to. That's your prerogative.

In terms of RCS, no doubt Rafale is less than F-15EX. One is an early 70s design incorporating hydraulic flight control, the other is a late 80s design, incorporating RCS reduction fuselage and composite materials and digital FBW. One is a large plane, the other medium. You can compare F-15EX with J-16, Rafale with J-10.

But F-15EX cannot fly through the mountains along LAC and LOC like Rafales can.

F-15EX is akin to a sledge hammer while Rafale is akin to a wall hammer.

Different sizes and serve different purposes.

It is blasphemous to compare them.
Not sure where you get that idea. The F-15s have flown through Star Wars canyons with no problems. This is not a B-52.
