We don't expect anything different from an Afghan political analyst and historian. Pakistanis are used to such hateful lies. Especially from biased and paid Afghan content writers.
Let's put all accusations and rhetoric aside for a moment and put forth some genuine questions. When will the Afghans for once learn to take care of their own citizens and country? When will Afghanistan learn to stand up and take care of its problems instead of blaming others? Like the Afghan author has acknowledged, Pakistan's supposedly double game has ended in Afghanistan. Pakistan's role and influence is therefore by default very limited. Yet, Afghanistan remains the most backward and failed state on the face of the earth. Who are they going to keep blaming for this failure? The entire world knows how much progress and development Afghanistan has made under the American occupation. This occupation has lasted more than a decade. The progress amounts to ZERO. In fact, Afghanistan has regressed. Afghanistan cannot blame Pakistan anymore for its failed status.
Afghanistan is today in a terrible shape and the author cannot digest this fact. Human rights are virtually non-existent. Ruthless Uzbek and Tajik warlords rule the roost in Afghanistan. Women don't have any rights. Kids don't have any rights. The Afghan people are subjected to tyranny and backwardness by their tribal and oppressive regimes. The opium based Afghan economy is in doldrums. Afghanistan's main export product today remains opium. This, despite American/NATO presence in Afghanistan. The poppy fields aren't destroyed and everyone is profiting from blood money. Afghans flee in the millions to Pakistan which is their favorite flee-destination despite the author scapegoating Pakistan. Pakistan generously accommodates Afghan refugees and it has done so for decades. Despite the blame games, Pakistan has genuinely made an effort to help Afghanistan to resolve its security problems. Yet, Afghanistan fails to acknowledge these efforts for obvious biased reasons. Afghan leaders are bought and influenced by the CIA with coffers of US taxpayers money. The anti-Pakistan TTP harbored by the Afghan government is today biting its facilitator. The list of Afghan problems is endless and the challenges are enormous. Blaming Pakistan is an easy way to deflect attention from the real problems in Afghanistan.
Unless Afghanistan keeps burying its head like an ostrich, it can never resolve its medieval problems. Afghanistan will have to face the mirror and take a deep look at its own behavior. Afghanistan will have to become an independent state and not a colony of other occupiers which shape its policies and destiny. Blaming Pakistan or Timbuktu won't help anyone and certainly not Afghanistan. Ghani will need to step outside of his fortified fortress and face the truth. He and his cronies can continue to blame Pakistan, but this won't resolve Afghan problems. Also, blaming Pakistan won't hurt Pakistan one bit. On the contrary, this will badly affect an already terrible relationship.
