‘The end of an era’: oil price collapse may force Saudis to rein in arms spending

It isn't the end of an era for the saudi yuppies spending on military hardware in the billions of dollars. Rather the is near for the pathetic, utterly devoid of any credibility, saudi regime. Their claim to be "Khadimul Haramain" is as good as israel's claim to be a legitimate and legal state. And the one to hasten the total destruction of the saudi regime, is none other than that mindless buffoon, bin Salman. Otherwise known as MBS. The fact that this imbecile actually killed the oil market, single handedly. Goes miles to show what a complete confounded idiot he really is, in believing that the zionist owned america, britain, france and the rest of the west, would ever support it till the end.
Oh WOW you are very angry at yourself aren't you?..Did you want him to give you those billions of dollars?.. or let Russia and others rule the OIL market while KSA is the biggest producer..?
You have shown too much idiocy in one post that you should start thinking first before writing your BS and negative emotions down..

That time will be ripe for Meschiach to come.
These fat habibis are arrogant and think themselves invincible but they gone learn soon enough.
Saudis do not know how to live within their means... That do not know what hard labor means...

Expect political revolutions in a couple years and protests through CIA sponsored "Saudi Spring".

So many BS replies..

First Oil prices are picking up, then these arms companies are also hit..the whole economy of the world is hit..
Saudi Arabia still has one of the biggest sovereign funds in the world and still buying big world companies' shares as we speak now.. it just bought stakes of Boeing and many others 2 days ago..

So..BS article that goes with BS comments..
u know very well any saudi investment in West/USA is not safe, day usa wants these assets will be frozen

You really oughta wake up, bud. It's not like I am making things up. Anyone who is reading through the news these past few years, and follows the market trends as well as the geo-political landscape, knows how ridiculously absurd the saudi behavior has been.

A country so rich, swimming in oil wealth, manages to rack up a budget deficit. You've gotta be a total idiot, to be able to manage budget deficits in an oil rich economy. You also have to be equally stupid, to spend billions on military hardware which your own armed forced have very little proficiency in operating. Then you have to be completely insane to start a war in Yemen, without any clarity as to what Yemen actually did, to threaten the security of Jazeerat-ul-Arab?

Over production of oil, in a market which weak and would hasten the drop in oil prices. This sort of behavior amounts to putting a gun to your temple and shooting yourself in the head. All this, over that absurdly retarded objective of capturing the "market share!?" Please ... cry me a river, what market share? There is little that can be done when fracked oil outta america could even have a prayer in the heavens to out price saudis or OPEC for that matter. Oil outta sand, is a lot cheaper and a heck of a lot easier to lead the market. Compared to frack'd oil or gas, for which american companies have taken hundreds of billions of dollars of loans.

So spare me your meandering and go learn a thing or to about economics and geo-political science.

Last I read, the only thing saudis were doing was squabbling with the qataris over football clubs purchase in fat ole britain. Sure sounds like "Big Companies" to me!!!

Instead of building a nucleus of your own people who become scientists, engineers, industrialists and so on. The regime buys companies, and showers money over white people to work for them to run those companies.

I know a thing or to, how brits loot money with all their limbs from the saudi-idiot regime. Doesn't take a genius to know that saudis don't know a licks worth of anything other than throwing money at their problems.

It's not like of us here are stupid enough to believe the crap you sell.

You are just talking for nothing..Saudi Arabia has been doing what you said it had to do for at least a decade and a half.. And a budget deficit is not like what you think..That is only balancing the economy.. there are sovereign funds that are not included in that..So If there is almost one trillion in sovereign fund and a country had a budget deficit of $50 billion ..how bad is that when not touching the sovereign fund?
The new investments are mostly in the US..not Britain..
And what MBS has done to the Saudi Economy in 5 years is just unimaginable 5 years ago..If not for his Saudi vision 2030.. the economy would have really been in shambles now.. but he saved it with his plan.. one can just say that he is a true visionary ..
As for you comments about the Saudi Military that is really empty of any sense..
And the weapons procurements are not a luxury in the middle east .......

KSA has very strong economy and huge reserves to live through this crisis. And everyone here who is saying KSA have been dependent too much on the west. Well its the Quality Western Hardware and Defense tech, technology and Market access that have made This Region so strong and Stable.

Its just laughable we people keep saying things like
"These pro western countries are too dependent on West" While at the same time citizen of these pro western countries living their third generation in developed and stable environment and their economies going strong as ever. While "We" supposedly "Not dependent" on the west are just still Third world countries living on promises only and having underdeveloped Industry. And Still no end to our miseries in sight. While those so called "Dependent" Countries getting stronger and stronger. KSA, UAE, Japan, S.Korea, Taiwan, Qatar, Bahrain, All Highly Developed High GDP Countries either through Resources wealth or Industry.

Anyways i personally believe its time for Saudi Arabia to gradually move from absolute Monarchy toward Constitutional Monarchy. Keeping Kingdom and Royal Family intact and introducing Parliament and Prime Minister. Even with limited Powers at first. It will solve a lots of problems for them.

Yup, just as I thought, a pre-programmed individual. Whatever dude, keep living in that fantasy world of unicorns, marshmallow clouds and velvet rainbows.

Anyone who has ever dealt with Khaliji Arabs knows exactly how incapable of work they are.
Oil is the only thing going for them, they will have to make a hard shift to forcing their people to work or "go back to the desert" but that is impossible now since most of them don't have the skills to go back to the desert.

They really are a classic case of people winning the lottery. Most actually go bankrupt and end up worse then they were before the lottery.

The 'Royal Kingdom' is no more. They have gone far away from Allah's path.

"O you who have believed, whoever of you should revert from his religion - Allah will bring forth [in place of them] a people He will love and who will love Him [who are] humble toward the believers, powerful against the disbelievers; they strive in the cause of Allah and do not fear the blame of a critic. That is the favour of Allah; He bestows it upon whom He wills. And Allah is All-Encompassing and Knowing.
