The discontents of South Asian culture

How do you explain the huge industrialization in the USSR ?
I'll explain the case of the USSR, you'll understand it when I explain. What explanation you have for dragging the nation for more than a decade with these protests against tractors and computers? Your compatriots did all that, now with the same breath mock the nation for the lack of major industries.

When in opposition subvert every move, try to topple the government through armed or unarmed struggle, protesting against industries or innovative ideas in the name of job loss. When in power, forget all about those struggles implement it with the same vigor or more. That explains why USSR or China gets industrialised despite being commie. We don't need communists to industrialize a nation. So that they can emotionally blackmail the public into believing everything came because of communists. That's a bullshit pathetic mentality.

India is not a socialist country though has a few elements like the Public Distribution System for subsidized food.

But how come the Bombay Stock Exchange has been operating continuously for the last 165 years ?
India is far more socialistic than some namesake communist countries.

Why should Pakistan be our enemy ? Please read my article about Kashmir etc in the forum's magazine section.

Why should China be our enemy too ?

Let us convert our country into a socialist welfare state. Then, our enemy will be NATO and to defend ourselves we would rightfully need to either purchase weapons ( from the Easter bloc ) or make them ourselves.

Till this conversion happens we have absolutely no right to be the world's second largest importer of weapons in the world.
I have read that, but I'll pass. You don't understand Pakistan one bit, their aim is to expand their boundaries, no self-respecting nation would or could allow something like that. So much blood and sweat have flowed through Indus for India to back down now. There's something called pride, use google for definition.

I am going to ignore the jokes about making NATO enemy and eastern block shit. Don't wanna loss my brain cells discussing that.

The inefficiency in Indian agriculture is because of its unscientific ways which has been largely continued for millennia. Let us introduce broad reforms like system-owned collective farming and new methods like Vertical Farms. This has lot of benefits.

Also, part of these new type of farmers will be retrained in the scientific methods, part can be put into operating instances in those factories where automation can be applied, part can be put in constructing new townships where Urban Farming and Vertical Farming can be done.

In short, change is needed not only in the workforce but also in the entire organization of work.
That goes back to the point I was making about communism and socialism. These ideas crept in our minds that made us think of the momentary loss in income objecting to reforms in the sector. Waiting for government handouts and subsidies.

You want everything now, but you blocked everything then. You want Israeli style agriculture farms, but you protest against any Israeli official who speaks in your communist-run collages. You want intel like corporations in India, but you hate automation that can result in joblessness.
You want AI research in India as China does, you can't have AI being applied to the industries.

PS: I like you @jamahir not your idea of socialism and communism. None of my remarks against you are directed at you personally but at your idea. I hope you didn't take any offense at my current remarks or previous ones.

Some utopian fans aside, I don't think any government of any leaning has ever wilfully compromised on Nation's security, neither any government ever will.
That's correct but the left front government in Kerala supported China in 1962 war.
In bengal the leftist had a slogan "Chinar Chairman, Amaar Chairman" (China's chairman is our chairman)
And Nehru gave our security Council seat to China. Not to forget his role in the Kashmir blunder of offering a plebiscite which we are suffering through right now.

Cuba and Libya are $#! tholes. Don't say due to external factors because that's not true.

Elaborate, please.

Check the calendar. USSR is dead and gone for 3 decades.

Does that technical fact prevent from discussing about its existence ?

Encouraging looting and breaking the law. Bravo.

You are making 2+2=5.

A few weeks ago you were encouraging paedophilia.

Yeah, let us all adopt the moralistic ideas of the Western feminists, gays and the Church, and bash the late Rajesh Khanna for marrying the 16-year-old Dimple Kapadia.

As well as stop talking about Romeo and Juliet.

And I can go on.

What next? Encouraging terrorism? I won't be surprised at all.

Yaar, why do you do so much of 2+2=5 ?

I also can't afford LV bags but that doesn't mean that I will loot it.

But you will keep complaining about it.

Now I am strongly suspecting that you are some out of work person who is being supported by my money.

"Your money" would have been best spent on that poor migrant woman to prevent her from dying of hunger. But I suppose you spent it on buying alcohol in those infamous wine lines in Delhi, Bangalore and Pune.

How do you explain lack of industrialization in socialist India from 1947-1991

How do you explain the need to pledge our gold in 1991?

How do you explain our Ship to Mouth existence?

How do you explain the so called Hindu rate of growth of 2-3%

That is it. Lack of applied industrialization unlike the USSR.

As for ship-to-mouth existence, due to lack of things like large scale individual farming like in USA or collective farming like in USSR.

Yeah Nehru was a big promoter of Private Industry and didn't forcibly take over Tata Airlines.

Wasn't there the USSR's Aeroflot ?

Indira just loved private banks

What business should a bank have other than lending ( at no interest ), maintaining a savings account and allowing digital transaction ( from bank to a digital wallet. From wallet to another wallet. From second wallet to bank ) ?

Which should there be more than one bank ?

Why at all should there be a private bank ?

India didn't have a license permit raj before 1991.

Unnecessary bureaucracy.

@Naofumi this is what I was saying about lefty loonies asking us to love Pakistan

I am just asking some basic "why" questions. Please try to answer them logically.

You are really brainwashed to believe all this BS. You must be living off taxpayers money

Well, thanks.

You are really brainwashed to believe all this BS. You must be living off taxpayers money

I belong to no party as of yet so how can I be brainwashed ?

And can you answer my points about banks ?

That's correct but the left front government in Kerala supported China in 1962 war.
In bengal the leftist had a slogan "Chinar Chairman, Amaar Chairman" (China's chairman is our chairman)
Any credible links to support this?
And Nehru gave our security Council seat to China.
That's a myth.
Not to forget his role in the Kashmir blunder of offering a plebiscite which we are suffering through right now.
That's beside the point, anyone can make mistakes but his intentions were always Pro-India.

I belong to no party as of yet so how can I be brainwashed ?
Brainwashed by a failed ideology.

Seriously if you are so much in love with these countries, why don't you move there?

And can you answer my points about banks ?

You personally prefer Islamic banking so you can keep your money in such a bank. Others who don't want that can keep money in normal banks.

This answers the question about charging interest.

Regarding more than one bank, competition always leads to better performance and better options for the consumer.

ICICI and HDFC would have to give better services to attract me as a consumer. You remember the old SBI days when going to a bank was a full days job? In ICICI and HDFC you could be in and out in 10 minutes. With new banks with fast processes SBI also tried to improve but it still lags behind.

I remember 2-3 years ago my company had to get a bank guarantee from SBI because we were participating in some govt tender. Our company's bank was axis bank. If we wanted a bank guarantee from them we could just pick a phone and their person would come to office collect the documents and get us bank guarantee the next day. In this case I had to go to SBI myself. It took 3 days to open an FD account and then a week to visit different branches to get the bank guarantee.

You should actually be happy - If your idea of not charging interest was popular more people will bank at your bank.

More banks can be used to specialize to cater to different types of consumers like farmers, small scale industry, big businesses, MNCs, exporters etc.

No. Mir Za. Matlab Jao Mir.

Mirza (/ˈmɜːrzə/ or /mɪərˈzɑː/; Persian: میرزا‎) is a name of Persian origin. It is used as a surname or prefix to identify patriarchal lineage. It is derived from a historical title of Persian origin (Mīrzā), denoting the rank of a royal prince, high nobleman, distinguished military commander, or a scholar.

It's a laqab. Like Khan or Sahab.

haha so a guy with a religious or princely title will explain people about caste system and religion.

must be reflex sunday

Brainwashed by a failed ideology.

Consider the possibility that you are brainwashed. :)

Seriously if you are so much in love with these countries, why don't you move there?

The typical excuse of rightists.

Why can't you contribute to making India itself like those countries ?

Do you think death by hunger occurs there too ?

You personally prefer Islamic banking

That wasn't on my mind. Even Jesus Christ spoke against interest too.

Regarding more than one bank, competition always leads to better performance and better options for the consumer.

What does "performance" even mean to an organization that simply has to manage savings accounts, give simple loans and allow digital transactions ?

There simply should be a single bank for a country. System managed.

ICICI and HDFC would have to give better services to attract me as a consumer. You remember the old SBI days when going to a bank was a full days job? In ICICI and HDFC you could be in and out in 10 minutes. With new banks with fast processes SBI also tried to improve but it still lags behind.

As as aside my father worked for SBI, even then I am not propagating its system.

More banks can be used to specialize to cater to different types of consumers like farmers, small scale industry, big businesses, MNCs, exporters etc.

Why can't a single bank take care of all this ?
