QUETTA: Eight labourers were killed by unidentified armed men in the Abbas Goth area of Lasbela district on Sunday morning.

The victims belonged to different areas of Punjab.

According to Lasbela police, a group of armed men barged into a poultry farm, Ali Poultry Farm, in the Abbas Goth area of Lasbela district and kidnapped nine labourers.

The armed men took the labourers to a nearby area, where they opened fire at them.

“The bodies of eight labourers were found dumped in a mountainous area while one labourer was found injured,” a police officer said.

Police, quoting the injured labourer, said kidnappers opened fire at the labourers after checking their ID cards.

The dead bodies and injured were brought to Jam Ghulam Qadir Hospital for autopsy. The bodies bore multiple marks of bullets.

The victims were residents of Multan, Muzaffargarh, Bahawalpur and other towns of Punjab.

There have been no claims of responsibility for the killings of labourers as yet. Balochistan government spokesperson Jan Buldedi condemned the killings.

“Law enforcing agencies should ensure the culprits involved in this heinous crime are arrested on an immediate basis,” Buledi said.

PA should not waste any more time here, they need to start ground ops on these rented bastards asap. Peace is returning to Balochistan province but these rented bastards are given scripts from their bosses to spread only chaos & anarchy in the province.

The labourers were from South Punjab, and Lasbela is a Sindhi dominated district. Why are these Allah Nazar baloch types working in Lasbela?

its very funny that when these 'baloch liberators' draw their 'liberated' maps they carefully leave our the baloch parts that are in iran and those which are in afghanistan , quite telling in many ways

RIP. and red salute to BLF for killing 8 un armed innocent civilian workers just because there was Punjab written on their ID cards.

Lasbela Is Lasi dominated District and significant population of balouch are also live there. areas like Hub Chowki & Dureji have majority of balouch population against Lasi.

@jsbrohi

I need you to outline a set of measures that need to be taken to deal with the insurgents. How will a counterinsurgency effort be different in these districts vis a vis FATA?

People of Punjab keep talking about projects like Gwadar etc. but no one ever talks about the involvement of the local populace. Such imperialistic attitude will breed extremism, separatism and militancy. Baloch know that once these projects get going, they would not get any share in the benefits. Hence, they are resorting to violence.

Our enemies will always take advantage of this situation. We can't blame them. Punjab's reputation as an imperialistic big brother which has taken over from the British rulers needs to be rectified.

I worry, that our Chinese guests working in Balochistan may get killed in similar incidents and this will hurt our diplomatic relations with China. I don't know who will invest in these projects in such an environment.
