New Delhi: Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar has hinted that he will decide upon his retirement during the home series against England later this year in November.

Tendulkar, in an interview to a leading English news channel, revealed that at 39 years of age he thinks there isn’t much cricket left in him and the decision to call time on his 23 years long career depends on his mental state and the level of physical fitness.

“I am 39 and I don`t think I have plenty of cricket left in me. But it depends on my frame of mind and my physical ability to deliver. When I feel that I am not delivering what is needed, and then I will re-look at the scheme of things. I am already 39 and no one expects me to go on playing forever. I will go with what my heart says,” he was quoted as saying by The Times of India on Friday.

Tendulkar also said that the decision to end his playing career will be a ‘hard’ one.

“The moment of retirement is going to be hard because I haven`t experienced anything close to what I might go through when I retire," he said.

Of late, the veteran batsman has come under severe scrutiny and criticism owing to his failures in the home Test series against the New Zealand team where he was bowled thrice leading to questions over his slowing reflexes.

yes it's time for him to take it the next level, along with sourav ganguly, he can help in administration and team selection, training etc.

yeah you guys dont suffer collapses let him play kohli and other batsmen can make up for it will he play the series with us out of form batsmen find form in pakistan vs india matches maybe he will too

I think Sachin should retire. He has already made all records.

What Sachin lacked throughout his career was leadership ability. Leadership to lead the Indian batting lineup and to win matches for his team. For many years, he was the only wicket to take to assure victory to the opposing team.

I think Sachin was great layer but only obsessed with records. Players of much lesser records were much more valuable to the their teams because they had tenacity to stand up to pressure and lead their team to victory by leading and harnessing team abilities. It shows in his second innings averages.

Sachin might be a batting god to the Indians but I would compare him to a lesser mortal like Inzamam to make my point. Inzamam made 24 centuries and out of those 16 were made to win the Test for Pakistan. This is a greater achievement than tons of records for not much.

I fear a flood of verbal diarrhea now!

and the decision would be.... jado tak ****** ker kay nahi kado gaye mein nai jana
