Correction at 7:28 - It is meant to say "1. Infantry BCTs are slightly cheaper than Armored BCTs" rather than the reverse For the CBO's cost estimates, most large formations outside of the Brigade Combat Teams are classified as "indirect support". These would include things like Sustainment Brigades, Maneuver Enhancement Brigades, Field Artillery Brigades, Engineer Brigades, Signal Brigades, Aviation Brigades, etc. They're grouped together cost-wise because there is a direct relationship more or less and the maneuver forces are the things being measured which the other things enable. Aviation Brigades are considered a support unit for budgetary purposes, so their costs referenced in this video only include the "direct" costs within the brigade and overhead, with no indirect support costs. The "overhead administration" is things like training and recruitment.
