Taiwan simulates 2017 invasion by China

Dude, they have their own foreign policy, their own military (all three wings), their own constitution, their own political parties, their own parliament, earn their own revenue and even have a different currency.

If this is not independent country, then you really need help.

Seriously, your logic is utterly flawed.
To be an independent country, there is just one CRITERIA one must attain. And the most important of them all - one must declare Independence to be an INDEPENDENT COUNTRY.
Isn't this the main issue where the mainland threatens to invade Taiwan if it declares Independence?
Did India get her Independence? Yes!
Is India an Independent Country? Yes!

Are you shaking from fear from the re-unification of China and Taiwan?

@Shaped charge @sweetouch @KAL-EL

None of you have any idea what you are talking about. Both Taiwan and mainland China have been working on modernizing their militaries which means cutting DOWN the number of soldiers. That means moving towards a professional and not a conscript army. Most people hate conscription and would do anything to avoid it.
It's true but you still need a landing force to occupy the capital and the fact that if you want to have a landing force to come to Taiwan, you need to have a proper navy and air-force to protect your troops (re-inforce) it so that it can land smoothly on Taiwan. Such re-inforcement is weak in Chinese navy and air-force, since Taiwan's air-superiority can destroy these capability of landing before it actually landed.

Taiwan is definitely a country, its called Republic of China. It claims the whole China, including area of China now under Indian occupation.

China is People's Republic of China, it claims Taiwan and part of People's Republic of China. So there are overlapping claims between this two political entities. And both entities claim territories under Indian occupation.

As of now, Taiwan would be badly damaged even if CCP can land and take over whole China. So unification should be done peacefully at all means.

I have seen the extent of your claims indeed and apparently we are not the only country your government wants to fight in Asia. Buddy, you need to see through your demands rationally; the kind of demands your government makes, it makes CCP look liberal.

Not to mention you'll end up starting a pan-Asian war with those kinds of demands that take almost 3 states from us, some provinces of Bhutan, Myanmar, whole Mongolia, parts of Siberian far east etc.

So basically you have two governments, two different institutions, two currencies, two different ideologies for the same country?

That is even more hilarious!!!

First why don't you make up your mind within your country and then demand land from rest of the Asian countries?

.

Only internet Chinese try to show this unity.

Your reality is known by everybody.

One string pulled and both of you will come to severe blows of nearly annihilating each other.

Despite both of you being Chinese, you have more enmity than we have with the Pakistanis here. :P

Pakistan and India were both created from the British India. But as both India and Pakistan never existed as a country prior to British India, its easy for both to be separate countries.

Taiwan and China are still same countries and both exists because of an unfinished civil war. And both sides still claim itself as the legitimate government of China. It is because China has a strong sense of being one country and all other government aside from the government in charge is illegitimate.
