Rest In Peace.

No matter how the neighbors are. There's something called surveillance. An SSP gets abducted and gets shipped to Afghanistan and we were sleeping? I am not sure about his death but this is seriously sick.if its true. It exposes our security sphere so good!

You only see one mishap, one failure but do not see the zillions of the time security forces make the plans fail of the foes.

Though, it is condemnable.

Picture is available on Twitter. Can't post it here

does the picture show he was killed in Afghanistan, WHY would ISIS take him to Afghanistan just to kill him it also puts ISIS murderers in danger of getting caught. next question is why an SSP and why from Islamabad and not wait for him to come back to Peshawar where it would be easier to transport. someone with animosity towards him killed him and this is the easiest way to get away from murder.

It seems like the perps wanted to send a message. They could have easily bumped him in Islamabad or Peshawar, but they kidnapped him from the capital, took him back to Afghanistan and then killed him. Either that or they wanted to interrogate him to get some information out of him?

Either case, it has Afghan intel agency written all over it. This is not something a rag tag militia can pull off.
THE officer was missing for 2 weeks. So one possibility is that he was in Afg for some Secret Work.
Either some one betrayed him there or back in home and sent him on a death mission.
The kidnapping from Islu and Killed in Afg is just a desperate cover.

Update - The Ministry of Interior has questioned the authenticity and declined to comment on the reports floating on the media regarding the alleged murder of S.P Tahir Dawar.

The police authorities and federal government on Tuesday denied reports that Superintendent Police (SP) Tahir Khan Dawar, who went missing from Islamabad last month, was killed in Afghanistan.

SP Dawar had gone missing from Islamabad on October 27. But speculation over the fate of the missing officer mounted on Tuesday when pictures of a dead body found in Afghanistan's Nangarhar province, purportedly that of Dawar, started circulating on social media platforms.

When asked by reporters today, State Minister for Interior Shehryar Afridi declined to comment over the veracity of the social media reports, saying it was a sensitive matter.

"It is a matter of national security and someone's life, and cannot be discussed on an open forum," Afridi said.

He said the government was seriously pursuing the cases of individuals whose loved ones have been missing.

Praying that such an incident may not have taken place, the minister said a fifth generation and cyber war had been imposed on Pakistan.

"Photo-shopped images and fake news are being spread nowadays," he added.

Meanwhile, Inspector General (IG) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Salahuddin Mehsud said they were in touch with the Afghan government through concerned departments.

He said it was not possible to confirm the veracity of these reports at present. However, an official statement would be issued in case of its confirmation, he said.

Stop being an idiot.

The job of the agency is to collect information, not to provide body guard services.

A guy goes missing, maybe he committed suicide whatever and these fellas decided to use the opportunity to spread propaganda.

There is no way they can smuggle an alive or dead person from Pakistan into Afghanistan, not even from Iran border.
Complete BS...

What is the evidence?

Although I am not anti ISI but the same agency provided bodyguard services to several Tablighi Jamat Mullahs during the 90s and later to Masood Azhar during his visit to JeM Madrassa in Larkana. ISI also provided bodyguard services by putting its Sub Inspectors into the security sphere of Pir Pagara Shah Mardan Shah. Well mate, it's Pakistan. So it's all about *Who you know*.

No one but that SP himself is to be blamed for this. His career and dealings should give away who and why they kidnapped him .......... by the way it does not look like some usual forceful kidnapping ......... he willingly went to meet them. Leaving his car behind, his guards behind, his cell phone behind ......... A SP of Peshawar rural area (who survived two suicide bomb blasts) can be so complacent and careless ........ hard to believe.

You do know despite all the issues Pakistan profited from that countries misfortune -

  • 1980s ~ Afghan Jihad gave us insurance cover to develop our nukes
  • 2000s ~ your hero Musharaf sold that country for $ billions

That's like saying I would inject you with cancer cells and then also pay a you a million bucks in return.

Afghanistan is cancer. And not just one cancer. From religion extremism to tribal wars to ethnic violence. You can find it all in that shithole excuse of a country.

Yeah, because there's none.

The ISI does have human resources to protect XYZ. The physical protection is provided by Elite Police units, private contractors etc.

Even the strike teams barely have 1 intel asset to collect evidence and forensics.

So i have no idea what you're talking about.

As if everything works with evidence here.

why would a SSP from Peshawar be so damn importance to ISIS that they would risk kidnapping him from Islamabad and transport him to Afghanistan just to kill him ? sounds BS to me
No, the SSP was sympathizer to PTM, most probably he was picked up by intel, half month ago. the government apparatus was silent about his disappearance as in most cases they remain when the agencies are involved.
TO get disposed of him, he was handed over across the border to their assets. as he was a gazetted officer, it was necessary.
ISIS would have normally made a video of his bloodbath, letter era is gone, also why he was such an important figure for ISIS? guys it's the work of your own boys.

Anyone still interested in providing citizenship to Afghans?

Afghanistan and Afghans are doomed. They don't have a future.

Dear brothers juniors and seniors please do not blame Afghanistan for everything. Please admit the deficiencies in our own system and don't bring shame on ourselves for blaming the ones who are not even able to take care of themselves.

Yes, let's blame the person who got robbed, the robber was not at fault at all.
Shame on the victim for not having security cameras and guards.
