South Korea scrambles fighter jets after detecting 180 North Korean warplanes, military says

US nd S.Korea dare to do shit about North Korea, the only thing they are doing now is begging China and Russia to rein in North Korea, their weapons and armies are just for show and parades.

Agreed, 1000000%

This would make Operation Desert Shield like a cake walk......

That's the reason why SK would consider NK crossing the red line if NK position that much concentration of Artillery piece in the border. It wouldn't get to that point because any movement of Artillery and Supply would have been noted by the South Korean Intelligence and they would most likely either putting up CAP or evacuate the capital if NK really do stack up their artillery like that.

I mean, look at it this way, a Standard Artillery Regiment have 12 to 15 guns. assigned to 3 Firebases. You will need thousand if not tens of thousands of guns to rain tens of thousands of shells in Seoul, and you can't fire your gun undercover, that mass of force would have been sticking up like a sore thumb in any Intelligence Apparatus.
It is likely to be pre-empted but I remember correctly there were hundreds of hidden fixed and towed artillery emplacements built by them along that border which apparently can be manned fairly quickly. If anything the NK army is one of the most prolific users(at least on paper) of artillery.

There is no question that RoK could detect the movement of troops and launch pre emptive strikes to take them out but it would be difficult to keep Seoul unscathed just because of the proximity

It's a war, no one expects Seoul to be unscathed, the war will not stop even if Seoul is wiped out.

Then where are they? busy doing their crashing drills?

They always surprise the enemies.
F-35 A/B/C are very advanced jet fighters and offer entirely different operational experience to pilots. They are also flown in extensive numbers so incidents can be expected.

Israeli Air Force have shown that F-35 can be successfully operated and utilized in combat situations - indicative of its professionalism and evolution.

South Korean Air Force will learn to manage F-35 as well. South Korean Air Force is well-equipped regardless.

South Korea is no longer a walk-in-the-park country like in the past. It will surprise DPRK when the time comes.

Do not laugh at others, dear.

North Korea could just use tactical nukes to wipe out most ROKAF airbases.

South Koreans are nuts north Korea sends flying coffins mig 21 and they send state of the art F 15 south Korean air defence systems are enough to take them down close to border

Just look at what they have!

The reason why South Korea always seems to be on the defensive is because they know North Korea can paralyse the South with absolute fire power in the first hour of the war, the north will never give the south time to react. both countries are very small in size and won't withstand the first round of full scale attack, it all depends on who will attack first, but because the north has nukes, the south will never risk their very onw existence to attack first, so the fancy weapons of the south are just showroom exhibits which have no real effects in a real war time scenario, and the south will never dare to provoke the north.

South Korea's 2019 population was estimated at 51.71 million, and according to the 2018 Population and Housing Census, 49.8% of the population resided in the
Seoul Capital Area.

In a sense, South Korea is all about Seoul
