Skyline comparison London vs Moscow vs New York vs Shanghai

The skyline of london and other european countries are simply no match to that of Chinese cities.

you can see that New York skyline is pretty low if you remove the world trade center and even Moscow as European skyline is bigger @Hamartia Antidote

I see such skylines as a perversion. Thats the skyline nothing can top:

I find this interesting though. Both in germany as in italy it is almost impossible by todays standards to build such skyscrapers. The only city in germany that has Skyscrapers is Frankfurt. In all other cities you would never get permission to build this, because there is zero acceptance in the population for this.

What do you deem the center of Moscow (which is 970 sq miles!)?? A small area with a bunch of buildings? Maybe it should be the Kremlin to the right. Most of those building were built in the last few years. Was that the center 10 years ago?

And I agree on not ruining the landscape. There was actually a slowdown of tall buildings being built after the Twin Towers in the 1970's. Probably for the reason you gave. After 9/11 in 2001 things picked up again.

I'm guessing nobody is posting Dubai's skyline out of fear of being embarrassed?
