Should Pakistan conduct strikes inside Afghan territory

It has never been clearer than now that Afghanistan has become the hub of terrorist activities inside Pakistan. This has not been only acknowledged at the highest level of the military leadership rather the COAS has unambiguously stated that in his recent addresses in CHOD conference in Kabul and in Munich. Pakistan has cleared all the terrorist spots / sanctuaries from its own territory and the remaining fragments are being combed and removed through intel based ops. However, terrorists are operating from Afghanistan. They enter Pakistan through the porous border which has not been fenced completely yet, mix with Afghan refugees and get support from some of them and then launch attack on various targets inside Pakistan.

The situations is even more complicated due to fact that the Kabul regime is very week and unstable and according to US reports, 70% of Afghan area has no writ of the Kabul govts. Furthermore, there is undeniable evidence that NDS actively supports terrorist activities inside Pakistan as a policy

Another more horrifying aspect is the formation of IS Afghanistan based on the remnants of ISIS in levant after being thrashed by Russia and Assad. They are being equipped and supported by hostile agencies. With time it will grow stronger into a much bigger menace than TTP; both in terms of numbers and quality. Thus Pakistan must act proactively and perform complete surgery along the Durand line and wherever necessary.

Their should be the occasional strike against any miscreants who are lobbing mortars at our positions, the strikes should be of similar nature to those we conduct on LOC, if the need arises ie HVT is spotted perhaps a team from SSG needs to go over and neutralize that HVT, I personally prefer much more covert action, use our assets in Afghanistan to do our bidding.Kudos bro

Keep using artillery on near border areas and use surveillance assets for inner Afghanistan. Seek and hunt is the best strategy.

That will mean a direct war with USA and NATO in Afghanistan. We will throw out USA and NATO in a months time and the Govt in Kabul will be replaced and then they will impose sanctions and entire CPEC will suffer and India will achieve what it wanted to achieve. The 4th gen war is designed to evade sanctions and Afghanistan should be fought in 4th gen warfare.

I know the terrorism from Afghanistan pisses every one but angry heads make mistakes. Afghanistan is like a glass of water when ever you place a finger in it the water will move but when you will take out your finger the water will come back to fill the space. One solution is to empty the glass and kill every one but that is not a solution the better way is to add flavor to the glass of water and make it tasty and drink it.

Personally, I think Pakistan SSG units are already operating in Afghanistan. If Pakistan takes any military action, it will be limited in scope. Whole goal is to defend the border via any means possible, but this mostly means fencing and surveillance via drones and helicopters and aircraft.
