NS "Vladimir Monomakh" completed trials in the White Sea

The second serial strategic nuclear submarine fourth-generation Project 955 "Borey" - "Vladimir Monomakh" - fully completed the program factory sea trials in the White Sea, reported the press service of the plant "Sevmash" in Severodvinsk.
Submarine now expects for program of state tests. At this stage, the submarine will perform a few more outs to sea. After successful completion of testing, inspection and finishing ship will sign the acceptance certificate NS "Vladimir Monomakh" and its transfer to the Navy of Russia. It is expected that it will be accepted into service this year.
Currently on the stocks of shipyard built the fourth Submarine - "Prince Vladimir".
Laying fifth "Borei" - "Prince Oleg" - is scheduled for July 19 at Sevmash.

Land country my butt. You guys had a large amount of submarines and surface warships during the Cold War days.

The problem is Funds, They can't spend like they used to during Soviet Era, however they are building up their Fleet slowly. it would take couple of decades to have more than decent Naval Force compared to US.

Russia’s Sevmash shipyards lays down three new submarines
Modernised atomic submarines have state-of-the-art equipment and considerably improved stealth and other characteristics
SEVEROMORSK, July 27 /ITAR-TASS/. Three new submarines - the Knyaz Oleg (Borei project), the Krasnoyarsk (Yasen project) and the Khabarovsk - were laid down on Sunday at Russia’s Sevmash shipyards, Sevmash director general Mikhail Budnichenko told Russian President Vladimir Putin from Severodvinsk.
“Today, under the state arms programme endorsed by you and in compliance with the schedule set by the Russian ministry of defence, Sevmash laid down three new atomic submarines - the Knyaz Oleg, which is the fifth Borei, the Khabarovsk and one more Yasen, the modernized project 885M,” Budnichenko said during a videoconference session with the president who was onboard the Admiral Kuznetsov heavy aircraft carrier cruiser in Severomork.

Diesel submarine "Novorossiysk" became part of the Russian Navy
At Admiralty Shipyards, member of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, today raised the Naval flag on a diesel-electric submarine "Novorossiysk" Project 636.3.
Prior to 2016, according to the plans of the High Command of the Navy, to be built six submarines of this project. All of them will be part of the submarine forces of the Black Sea Fleet.
