Russia for the Indian Navy ships once again delayed delivery of construction
Russian Navy website August 26, 2011 reported that India's defense minister said that Russia is the second batch of Indian Navy built three "Taer Wa" (Talwar) class frigate of the delivery would be delayed.
The three frigates were "Tiger" (Tag) number, "Taka Shi" (Tarkash) number and "Terry Kender" (Trikand) number, its delivery would be delayed 12-14 months. These vessels was 2006 Young tower in the Russian shipyard, delivery was delayed because of Russia to the lack of qualified workers, while several ships built at the same time. According to Indian Defense Minister and Russian Defense Products Import and Export Company, a group of three frigates for the first 12 months of delivery will be delayed, the second ship will be delayed 11 months, the third ship will be delayed 14 months.
Meanwhile, the "Admiral Gorshkov" aircraft carrier delivery time will be postponed to December 2012. The delayed delivery of aircraft due to: replacement of almost all shipboard systems and equipment, hull structural parts, mast, re-painting of aircraft, as well as mooring trials, sea trials and flight test mapping.
