Punjab Assembly Dissolved

If the elections of Punjab assembly are held as per rules in 90 days, PMLN will not be able to win even half the seats which they have now.

Even with dhandli and all the obvious support.

Actually it's the people who got to be the establishment. 23 top generals cannot take the country of 23 crore people for a ride, they can't rule over 23 crore Awam.
But, they have to be careful what they wish for. Will the Awam curse a new government if they take the necessary and painful steps to correct the economy once and for all?

The only silver lining to painful restructuring now, is that it’s not as bad by one metric as it actually was in 2018, with the debt that needed to be paid back over $30 billion when PTI first came to power.

that was when most people didn’t know the penalties of being this close to default (such as the current finance minister threatening to take people’s dollar accounts, millions laid off from the textile industry, and inflation through the roof).

IMHO, with Pakistan expecting to have to payback 75 Billion over the next 5 years in loan repayments, the PTI should work on a plan to attract the FDI to privatize government assets and sell them to entities aligned with Pakistani interests; namely the diaspora. $15 Billion a year from the diaspora a year for 5 years would be about 3-4% of GDP and just the amount of FDI necessary to get the economy back on track, give breathing room to the government to restructure its debt and increase local taxes such as property tax.

It would also prevent the country from having to sell assets to entities or countries whose political or economic interest may not be aligned with where the Pakistani qoum wants to go; a neutral and balanced foreign policy.

This will not only give the government the funds to pay back the loans with high interest loans, but be able to run everything like business (shedding entities that cost the government money), where the diaspora can leverage its talent and connections to attract the best equipment, talent and technology at the best price for the nation.

$15 billion may seem like a large amount, but considering where remittances were ($1 billion more per month then currently), the low labor costs, and the potential profit of getting the country even up to the global productivity average such as in cultural products (such as movies, music, literature as well as tourism particularly around the Indus Valley civilization but also our unique cultures amongst our nearly 250 million people), agriculture, auto parts and vehicle manufacturing, medical supplies, value added textiles, electronics, steel production, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, mining, solar panels, information technology,…. The growth is there if the market for investment is open, and in the long term, if Pakistan is buying from all over the world, it will have more options, lower cost, and improved foreign relations. For example, IMHO, the upgrading of Mainline 1 of Pakistan railways or further motorways should be paid for by the people (local or overseas through an investment program), and not with a loan, and the investors should be given land along the tracks to run dry ports and other Special economic zones to speed up industrialization in a sustainable manner which also pays for the operations of the railways and industries.

Also, convincing people, especially the diaspora to stop buying real estate they don’t plan to actually live in most of the time, and putting that money into export earning industries is vital, or at the very least invest in apartment buildings to max the city dense in a way that incentivizes use of public transportation and other sunk costs the government has already spent money on. Other entities, investors could buy are the power plants and other infrastructure that charges the government exorbitant prices even when not operating, and working out a new deal that feeds into industrial projects in SEZs so pushed for by these investors, and not gives free electricity to the many people that don’t pay their electricity bills.

PTI returning to power seems to be taking shape, but they need to have a plan lined up to go fast and hard with reforms and restructuring the day they are sworn in. They can’t play like novices anymore, the nation can’t afford it, and will kick them out in short order if the qoum is asked to keep sacrificing without seeing light at the end of the tunnnel.

So Punjab and KP assembly dissolved.

What next?

Can IK gain 2/3 majority in the next elections, if the handlers allow him to contest elections at all.

Parvaiz Elahi and Hamza Shehbaz will be appointed caretaker chief ministers of Punjab in consultation. PTI would not have any role in the caretaker setup of Punjab.

–Says some PTI MPAs want to join them, but the SC verdict is a hurdle
LAHORE, JAN 11 (DNA) — Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that he will go to Islamabad only after retaking the Punjab government.
Talking to the media on the premises of the LHC on Wednesday, the Interior Minister said that Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi has no required number of MPAs – 186 – and he cannot get the vote of confidence in any case.
The minister claimed that the opposition alliance will win the runoff election. “The Punjab chief minister got 20-20 days twice, but he committed corruption of billions of rupees,” he added.
He said that the court had given the relief to Pervaiz Elahi and for which, the people paid a heavy price. “We request the court to decide the case immediately so that the minority government should not remain imposed,” he maintained.
He urged the court to put an end to the alleged corruption and loot by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi which he claimed was worth around Rs2 billion a day.
He further said that most of the members of provincial assembly are currently outside of the country, and they were trying to manifest a victory in the vote of confidence. Sanaullah added that Elahi’s son, Moonis, had allegedly fled the country on a chartered plane with corruption money.
During his media talk, PML-N leader Attaullah Tarar predicted that certain MPAs including Momina Waheed, Javed Akhtar Khan Loond, and Hafiz Ammar Yasir may not attend the session for vote of confidence. Their absence could potentially swing the vote in favor of the opposition, he suggested.
“I tell you, they cannot achieve the 186 votes needed to succeed in the motion,” he said, adding, “with the assistance of the interior ministry, we can track the positions of their MPAs using geofencing.” He said, “They only have 177 MPAs on their side.
The federal interior minister, how has in the past served as the provincial home minister, further stated at his news conference that Lahore CCPO Ghulam Mahmood Dogar – who also heads the JIT – had manufactured the team’s report in connivance with PTI Chairman Imran Khan and is completely without merit.
“There was just one gunman, identified as Naveed, and Moazaam was killed by a bullet that was fired from a container,” he insisted. = DNA

The same Pervez Elahi who broke Punjab Assembly and gave up CM, which he got after a decade, on orders of IK? Dil ko behlanay ka liye ghalib, ye khayal acha hai

These reserved seat ladies have really tarred all women. They have in way regressed women's involvement in governance. Made a case to eliminate these reserved seats.
you will find most of these reserved seats connection with feudals and than with the colonial army of Pakistan. its the same colonial system working, which was here long before pakistan`s independence. A colonial military using his colonial allies to control power!
