Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Attaullah Tarar said on Saturday the PTI chairman was no more “honest and righteous” after his jail sentence in the Toshakhana case.

Earlier in the day, a district and sessions court in Islamabad sentenced the former premier for a three-year term and a Rs100,000 fine in the Toshakhana case, filed against him by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for failing to declare the gifts in the asset declarations.

The jail sentence also led to his disqualification by the ECP under the Election Act. .

The court also declared that the PTI chairman was involved in corrupt practices under Section 174 of Election Act 2017 and had submitted a bogus affidavit with the Election Commission, ordering the Islamabad Police chief to arrest the convict immediately while issuing the arrest warrants.

Shortly after the verdict, senior PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi confirmed that the police had arrested his party chairman from the Zaman Park residence in Lahore.

Reacting to the verdict, Mr Tarar said the PTI used delaying tactics in the case, adding that now “he [PTI chairman] is a certified thief”.

He said the former premier concealed his assets, adding that the man who used to hurl allegations at others was now short of words for his defence. He said the situation was so far peaceful following the PTI chief’s arrest.

We dont need certificates from the likes of dentonic wala bandar whose grandfather Rafique Tarar was a known harami who use to bribe judges at the behest of N league against justice Sajjad Ali Shah.

It’s a verdict which every heart in Pakistan is testifying that it was a wrong decision

It’s not like Nawaz Sharif case where most people agreed that he will be sentenced as his party had a general opinion of “khata hai to lagata bhi hai”. So even his supporters knew that he is corrupt but considered him better than other parties

In the case of PPP, one of their leader claimed on live TV “yaar corruption pe Kya Hamara Haq nahi hai?” So that was the mentality of PPP and Zardari was always considered “Mr 10%”.

In the case of Imran Khan even his opponents know in their heart that they could not blame him for corruption cases so ended up making a case that was technically legal to buy items from Toshakhana and ran a trial with deadlines of “hours”. We have never seen such a speedy case and it is clear the judgement did not come from the court but elsewhere

May Allah have his mercy on this nation as we have lost hope as a nation. We are forced to accept the corrupt leadership of PDM and the 95% population are unwilling to do that.

Only Zardari is the most Sadiq and Ameen person in Pakistan

No the khaki creatures

If u think it was politicians that made the verdict. Then u are simple wrong. Its the khaki creatures and their slaves that think of themselves as gods on earth and even ordinary pakis also think that way. So people of pak richly deserve all of it.
