Presidential System and my model of New Pakistan

Which System you want to see in Pakistan

  • Total voters
    45
  • Poll closed .

How does the Presidential Sytem works

  • In Parliamentarian system, the AWAM (public) get only ONE chance to go to the ballot box and choose the member for national assembly. Then those MPs (members of Parliament) choose the Prime Minister on bases of party system. Then this Prime Minister forms the Government.

  • But in Presidential system, the importance of AWAM (people) increases as it gets TWO Chances to go to ballot box. Firstly in order to choose the members for Parliament. And secondly, when this AWAM (people) choose the President DIRECTLY. And then this directly elected President forms the government.

This President is free of blackmailing of different small Parties and independent candidates in Parliament while AWAM choose him directly.

How should the Police System Work

  • National police
The National Police is a state police. It is attached to the Ministry of the Interior. The police officers and trainees who compose it are civil servants of the State.

Its missions are the guarantee of individual and collective freedoms, the defense of the institutions of the Republic, the maintenance of peace and public order and the protection of people and property.

  • Municipal Police
A municipal police force designates a police force under the direct authority of a mayor. Some municipal police have investigative powers, such as the United States municipal police.

No idea what we are waiting for.. we should be imitating the future not the past... imitate American not british

Indonesia scrap their parliamentary system after finding the government under the system is too easy to be downed and weak. After getting democracy in 1998, Indonesia literally adopt parliamentary system although state leader was named as President. Abdurrahman Wahid administration is the one created under the system. He fall after ruling the nation for just 2 years.

Since then, we replace the system into Presidential and also decentralize the nation with local leaders get local election in their respective region and they can rule their region almost with similar independency like Federal system. Since 2004 we have, so far, stable government and never experience death lock like happening many times in Israel. Alhamdulillah.

The Presidential system that we adopt with multiply party system also tend to strengthen the executive. We experience that despite the power balance in the parliament some time create very strong opposition, but as time goes by there will be some opposition parties that join the government coalition that in the end make the government get powerful backing in the parliament.

I would say better use similar system like Indonesia, democracy system in US with their senator and two party systems will complicate politics in a negative way.

Imagine Zardari as president (which he was also)
He would be king, promote corruption, and he would use money to buy votes for delegates/mna
This way presidential system does not work
We need similar to Chinese system
And have division of power where clergy, beaurocrats, military, industrialist & businessmen(e.g head of chamber of commerce) will have equal representation in house of common/parliament, so if president Zardari/Bilawal can have check and balances

If the election are fair, Zardari can’t even win Counselor seat. Presidential system
With proper checks and balances can work.

As I said many years ago, the Presidential position should be occupied by a representative of the Pakistan armed forces as civilians cannot be trusted to run the country. The military President should have the full power to fire the prime minister or dissolve parliament and order new elections.

He'd fire the PM 5 times a day LMAO.

Pakistan needs a nationwide referendum to approve these

1. Presidential System
2. Local Government with representatives within a 30km radius with them on-call and their performance stats online for the public to see, and in case of non-performance to be fired. A citizen should be able to vent their anger without repurcussions on an unrepaired pothole directly to the local government officers face.
3. Revamped bureaucracy with proper HR (hire and fire with no unlimited transfer clauses, you don't perform, you're out)
4. At least 25 provinces
5. Electronic voting
6. All Digital E-Governance with in-house data warehousing (set these up near the coast to use wind energy/solar)
7. Validation of NIC once a year by biometric verification to stamp out invalid ones (should be a 10 minute visit to nearest NADRA center)

So many more points, I might just open up a consultancy for Gov. of Pakistan to hire me to fix their shit.

For this to happen ("A citizen should be able to vent their anger without repurcussions on an unrepaired pothole directly to the local government officers face".) the police system needs to be reformed, instead of being accountable to corrupt politicians they need to be accountable to the public.

I dont know which one is better but i know for sure we need group of people who actually need to take charge and atleast for sake of Allah needs to work for these people who are actually getting poorer nonreligious and day by day uneducated.

While the world is looking at crypto in terms of monetary value, I have a whole lot of ideas on how to use it for governance. Fool proof stuff.

Crypto based governance sounds quite dodgy, what's the main elements of this crypto governance?

So, here is another attempt at understanding and perhaps implementing a system of dignified and accountable governance and leadership.
Direct democracy and clown circus sells dreams, it creates niches for like minded and if virulent enough and populist enough can and does drag people towards fascism, ultra nationalism.

On the other hand you have can have a selection process, based on procedures and systematic evaluation of anointing The Best person for the job ...

U.S. has this process of primary selection for each party ... but we all know it is deeply flawed since the talking points revolve around party politics and entrenched values/positions. But you get the idea...

A nonpartisan process of picking or enlisting candidates for higher office is the way to go and that also on qualified pledges. This if organized based on historic precedence and known or perceived pitfalls will make for the best system of delivering good governance/leadership.

Don't give the pedestal to people who seek to divide, malign, creat rifts in families or seek personal gain... remember the one eyed will win this popularity contest.

The mere mention of crypto evokes emotions of dodginess; though it is understandable with a new technology that no one yet trusts. People usually confine crypto to how cryptocoins operate. That is not true. You can design any sort of system that needs trust, accountability, resiliency on blockchains. Governments can make use of its inherent stability, security for many cases such as asset and identity management, legal documents that use tamper proof smart contract technology etc. This would however need a mature IT/Data warehousing talent in the country.

As an example; you can check Dubai's work on Blockchain Government

You will be providing power to the technocrats who will work their secret dark skills in the labyrinth of data centers and crypto machines.

I suppose we could give it a try. If it doesn't work out all those computers will have to be sent to the crusher and your cryptos toasted.
