Politicians would be lynched in mass revolution if leadership did not wake up: Javed Hashmi

LAHORE, July 17 (INP): Senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and member of the National Assembly Makhdoom Javed Hashmi has warned that if the political leadership did not rise to confront the grave challenges, the country would witness a revolution where people would lynch politicians.

Talking to media persons on the sidelines of his lecture in Tech Society here on Sunday, Javed Hashmi said that President Asif Ali Zardari has limited objectives and he is successful in achieving them. On the contrary, objectives of others are wide ranging and they do not accomplish them with diversion of energies and resources on many fronts. He said there is no system for elections in the parties and that is the reason for instability in the system. He was of the opinion that the current year was very important for the political parties.

The soft spoken PML-N leader said our politicians have purchased properties and flats in London and other countries and people are in knowledge of that. If the problems of the masses were not resolved, people would rise and a revolution would engulf the entire country where no politician would be left alive.

He said his (Hashmi’s) entire political struggle was for the country and not for any party or individual. He said the old British colonial system has died down and the US hegemony in world affairs would also be over soon.

Javed Hashmi said the enemies of Pakistan have not changed their agenda and they are implementing their conspiracies to destabilize the country.

The PML-N leader said that there would be no in-house change, as it’s now time for elections. He said that Pakistan was on the development track, but lost the opportunity in fights within.

He said that no party gives ticket to any one possessing higher qualifications.

Javed Hashmi said that the Karachi situation could be set right only by imbibing tolerance. “We should do politics of alliance instead of violence”, he added.
