I dont get it
The first U209 in Indian Service is set for retirement in 2020, while the last one will retire in 2025
by the time we get the Harpoons , these subs will only have 8 years of service life left in them

On the other hand if the Harpoons can be integrated with Scorpenes on a later date, then thats fine

Would we need harpoon ,when we have sunburn and Brahmos?

Harpoon can be fired from torpedo tubes, while Brahmos will require dedicated VLS in the submarine.

Can be integrated, and French will push their own Exocet with Scorpenes.
