UAE LACKS PILOTS

They tried to acquire the older KC's. Then, they bought the Russian one's as their JFT and Mirages would combine become a force three times that of the F-16's. So it made sense to have refueling options for 70% of your aircrafts than just the F-16's.

Plus due to China / Russia focus, other aircraft you'd acquire, would also use the same refueling options as JFT does. So it made sense to get the Il-78 tankers. But the discussions were on the table for one or two older KC's.

I'd imagine if the PAF bought 18-36 more new or used F-16's ever, a couple of used KC's would also become a reality.
Can't we just convert one of our IL-78's for F-16 refueling roles as well? I mean F-16's are our deep-strike fighters.

Great pics. Really are amazing.
Air re fuller if i am not wrong are mostly used for long range mission but our main target is next door so my guess F16 can do there job without air refuller

Wow... by the sounds of this forum, it looked like Pakistan hated USA. Didnt expect to see this.
Not our fault you fail to move on with geo-politics.
Later this year, we'll be training with the Russians.
Don't tell me you thought they hated us because of you... :D

Isn't the Indus Viper, the closest to the "vanilla" version. Or is the same.
I know about the Desert Falcon the Sufa and the F-16IQ. Or is it a term for PAF Vipers exclusively?

I don't think it is an "official" name for the Pakistani F16s. Indus Viper was the name given to Pakistani Turkish AF joint exercises. But callings them Indus Vipers does sound cool
