Sep 28: A Pakistani national was today detained by security agencies from a Metro station in west Delhi after he was allegedly found clicking photographs within its premises.

Mohammed Ramzan, a 35-year old from Lahore, was found clicking photographs of a woman with a mobile phone at Rajouri Garden Metro station when some passengers got suspicious and caught hold of him, official sources said.

The passengers called Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) officials guarding the facility who detained him and handed him over to Delhi Police, they said.

Photography is prohibited in the Metro premises.

Ramzan was travelling with valid passport and visa, the sources said adding that they did not find anything suspicious about him.

He was jointly interrogated by Intelligence and Delhi Police officials.

CCTV footage also purportedly showed him clicking pictures, they said adding he had boarded the Metro train from Dwarka Metro station.

"Some photos of a woman were found in his mobile," a senior police official said.

Ramzan has come to India along with around 50 people on a religious trip two days ago. He is staying in a Paharganj hotel.

According to the official, Ramzan told police that he was not aware that photography was prohibited in Metro.

The official said he told them that he wanted to have a ride on the Metro and had gone to Dwarka station.

"He has to go to several places in India along with others on the trip," the official said.

in other words .. OMG TERRORIST!! IT'S TIME TO PANIC :cheesy:

Unfortunate timing I would say... maybe he just wanted to take home some memories of the wonderful Delhi Metro... instead was in for a rude shock. Looks like the security has been tightened in Delhi especially during the CWG.
Hope it is as trivial as this.

This type of people exist in every country.

BTW, what it has to do with India defense section??

A Pakistani guy, clicking photos at a Metro Station, though not confirmed,if he had some "Bad links",it could have hurt our "DEFENSE"
;)

I agree with Dezi, hope he is warned and let off, it seems to be an innocent mistake.

What type of people? The people who took photos? Yeah they are in huge numbers all around the world. :D

Those type of cheap people who takes pictures of ladies with out their permission that to in prohibited area. Also, no one complains for nothing he must have invaded her privacy to discomfort that forces her to complain.

For ur info clicking pictures in Delhi Metro and its Station is completely banned and not allowed to anyone. And they have put up banners all around to inform public about it.

Many be an undercover ISI agent survelling another undercover RAW agent..nothing would arouse suspicion so hard if the matter was really "just clicking some pictures"!

Had it been some other national .. Sri Lankan, or American, it would not have made it to the news. Hence in the defense section. Make sense?

many people are not aware that photography is prohibited at Metro , ..

the matter should not be blown out of proportion..

but in my view the matter also has a social angle....indeed it's very enoying for a lady to find out some stranger clicking photos of her on his mobile...

no matter of the nationality , whoever does , it's really cheap to take pictures of ladies with out their permission ..

Security first.
Whats the problem,if that guy was seen doing something unusual by the passengers themselves?
Investigation should not cause turmoil elsewhere.

And ISI send agent to click photos of ladies from India. :D

He has a valid PP & visa. Should be slapped with a penalty for breaking the law and be freed. Nothing to be discussed on the topic.
