Pak Airspace closure hits Indian Pockets: AI appeals to 'inactive' crew to immediately join work.

The Government of Pakistan needs to come clean and provide details to the people of Pakistan on how much "RENT" is charged for the Indian Airlines using the airspace of Pakistan?? Every country charges this fee. Hence, there is NO REASON Why this information cannot be disclosed to the public.

Here is an example, Russia charges US$63 to 115 per Cargo flight using Russian airspace, while commercial flights are charged per passenger.

Pak-India airspace closure: National institutions suffer Rs2.55 bn loss

KARACHI: Pakistan and India have closed their airspace for each other for the last two weeks after rising in tension between the two countries due to which the national institutions of Pakistan have suffered losses of Rs2.55 billion.

The airlines and civil aviation authorities of both the countries are enduring massive losses. The flights between Europe to Far-East are not only facing massive financial losses, but the flight duration has also increased, while the airlines have also increased their ticket prices.

The schedule of the airlines flying on these routes has also been affected. The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has suffered the loss of Rs1.05 billion due to the closure of certain routes for the airline, while the Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan has incurred a loss of around Rs1.5 billion so far due to prevailing tension.

Only a few large airports are still open, while the airlines are now using long routes due to which the air travel duration has increased, which has resulted into increase in airfares. Only the PIA is suffering a loss of over 70 million on a daily basis in the head of fuel charges.

Whats the trade situation between india and Pakistan nowadays?

what do you mean by "close misses"?

Since the space for the planes to manoeuvrer has been restricted there was a couple of incidents where they flew too close to each other (for aviation safety protocols)

You do know that It was benefiting India Much more
Pakistan was exporting 200 M worth of Goodies while India was exporting more than 2 Billion
so With that Pakistan will divert more to local and Chinese market who will be hurt more with all that ?
I m pretty sure this whole Episode is bad for India
1 1 Plane and 1 Helicopter went down , 1 Pilot in Pakistani custody
2 Pakistani airspace being blocked costing India much more than they event dreamt off
3 Land Route being blocked no access to Iran & Afghinstan
4 Increased tariff where you were exporting 10 times the goodies what they were exporting you
5 Showed on International level that Indian military is outdated and got spanked by a 7 times smaller nation
its Just bad bad and more bad

Still we can afford to over come all these little problems.
Because we are capable to do so.
Our policy makers knows very well about India.

GOI also said they killed 350 plus terrorists in balakot which has turned out to be rather embarrassing for them as international media doesnt support this narrative and have busted GoI claims.

This is not your league to be precise

You should stop making a fool out of yourself!!

Either put up or shutup!!

Modi only cares for his seat let these idiors paymore for voting another idiot

Pak lies in very impirtant place of the earth where all major super power lies interest

People here crying river like AI is doomed.
They forgot that only International Flights from northern india are affected. Flights from Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyd, BLore, Pune, Cochin etc are not.

For sure its a long haul and costs more for international flights coming to Delhi and moving out of Delhi. But than this kind of scenarios keep happening across the international flight paths, sometimes middle east boils so flights have to change route some times europe has weather issues or at times some other problems. So there is kind of buffer created for this kind of problems.

For sure the longer airspace closure will impact airlines, but those costs will be passed on to consumers.
And people who thinks closing air space is helping Pakistan, then they are forgetting that, this is creating huge losses for Pakistan as the earnings received by transit and airspace charges is whats make majority of income for there civil aviation infrastructure. If this continues the Civil Airways system will collapse as the large scale investments in development of same comes with heavy price of loan repayments, which will put pressure on depleting forex.

Weird routes of flights to and from India due to Pakistani air space shut for India
. Pakistani air space is open for flights to and from Pakistan
