Jest of the argument made:

PSL in Pakistan is akin to the Chariot racing in the Roman empire, which was essentially a distraction from the real/pressing issues the citizens were facing.

As other operations going on we need a brutal operation on this media mafia they are not less than terrorists to spread fear and breaks unity.

-Agreement on the "media mafia" which loves to deflect every time when the criticism is on them.

-However, the analogy made is actually quite accurate. Where are we when it comes to income, education, health, living conditions, cleanliness etc. ? Hiding behind "breaking unity" is another way to just close one's eyes to the reality that we live in.

Mr Orya Maqbool seems to have his pockets filled with currency from across the border. After all the killing and negativity going on in our country it's infact a healthy sign that something good is finally happening. Compare it to chariot racing or whatever, the people of our country do indeed need a shift from the constant bullshit issues that the media wants feed the masses. A diversion but a positive and much needdd diversion.

UAE show great help in providing hosting services but now we want it back and Imran Khan should have showed some brains. He is not a Leader in Pakistan every Pakistani is a leader.

So Pakistanis would forget all other issues just because of a Cricket match that would be played on a holiday.

Amazing analysis.

Almost Pakistan looking forward for a breakthrough to reopen our cricket legacy at home, to combat terror with operations is necessary as enemy is so cruel but also to defeat them with spirt important as well. The success of this event is a tight slap on terrorists and their facilitors. The other issues you raised are important too no doubt.
My prayers for a peaceful end of event which bring us courage and confident to win over the war bring on us coward enemy.

-I'm not exactly a fan of cricket per say, however I get where your coming from. In terms of showing the extremists that they haven't affected our way of life, your right, that does make sense and sends a strong message.

-However, the fact remains that such exercises only serve as diversions from real issues that we have to face every day of our life.

So Pakistanis would forget all other issues just because of a Cricket match that would be played on a holiday.
There is a concept in economics called "opportunity cost". Essentially what it is, is the expression that for every choice we make ... we pay a cost in terms of not choosing other alternatives. In this case, the cost of covering PSL 24/7 is not covering other more pressing issues that affect our lives directly.

UAE show great help in providing hosting services but now we want it back and Imran Khan should have showed some brains. He is not a Leader in Pakistan every Pakistani is a leader.
"Every Pakistani is a leader" ... seriously :D

"Bullshit issues" ... Dude really ? So health, education, the living standards of our common people are bullshit issues?
