Have you learnt nothing from our history of dictatorships?

LOL only an Indian who knows nothing about CPEC would pose such a question. The whole world knows that without Pakistan army this project would be nowhere. The Pakistan army is already the main guarantor and facilitator of CPEC.

Army being guarantor, if true, is quiet disturbing. I hope Pakistan really gets its act together and make CPEC success. All the best.

There is the question of continuity of policy with democracy. Policies adopted by one Democratic Gov. may not be followed by the next. I remember at the early stages of CPEC Chinese hinted at their desire of Army taking the lead on CPEC projects probably to do with this point.

Pakistan was under direct military rule 1958-1971, 1977-88 and 1999-2008
did it work out well ??
