who is interested in the recipes..lol...when you get the candy herself..BTW Nigella has grown very fat now..

The answer is simple-
For centuries we eat and cooked the same food in subcontinent-
The problem was the food items cannot be partitioned like land-
No one wanted to get rid of biryani- kababs- qorma- for the sake of religion :D-

However, my own native food is very different..

Assamese food is well regarded for its nutritional and therapeutic value. Prepared with minimal use of spices and edible oil, the delicate flavoring of vegetables, meat and fish (very popular) lends the food its distinctive taste. For locals, rice is the staple food and it is eaten in different forms: roasted and ground, boiled and flattened, soaked and puffed, steamed and wrapped in leaves.

Here are few samples..

Assamese cuisine.. continues..

"Bhapot Diya' means to cook in steam, 'Iilis Maas' is Hilsa fish. Steamed Hilsa is very easy to cook yet divinely delicious. It is quite different in taste from Bengali "Bhaper Illis"
