ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court observed on Wednesday that there was no money trail of the Sharif’s London flats.

During the hearing, Justice Asif Khosa observed that there was no trace of transfer of money from Pakistan to a foreign country. The apex court was hearing a case pertaining to the alleged offshore wealth of the premier’s family in London.

Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan’s counsel Naeem Bukhari submitted a two-page summary of a transaction questioning the Sharif family’s investment of Dhs12 million in Qatar in 1980 despite owing the Bank of Commerce and Credit International (BCCI) Dhs 14 million.

Justice Azmat Saeed Sheikh remarked that the Sharifs had failed to explain how they had cleared the aforementioned dues in 1980. He also observed that the Sharifs had also failed to explain how they had financed the construction of Jeddah Steel Mills.

The bench also observed that there was no similarity between the signatures of premier Nawaz Sharif’s cousin Tariq Shafi on an affidavit and a the contract presented before the court.

Bukhari also contended that the Sharifs had failed to produce a single document showing how money had been transferred from Pakistan to Dubai, Doha, Jeddah and London.

PTI chairman Khan has been pleading his case against the Sharif’s offshore wealth and to defend himself before a different bench of the apex court for allegedly concealing his sources of income.

The party claims to have come up with fresh evidence this week to press its stance that Sharif’s London properties had been purchased in the 1990s rather than the ruling family’s claim of buying them in 2006.

On Monday, during the hearing, the PTI contended that the Sharif family owned both Nelson and Nescol companies in 1999. According to party sources, the new ‘evidence’ was brought from London.

Panamagate scandal: Judiciary will decide case on merit: Qureshi

On November 15, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz submitted ‘documentary evidence’ on the legitimacy of their assets before the top court, claiming a Qatari prince paid for their London apartment.

On November 3, the premier denied holding offshore companies in a written response to the Supreme Court on Panamagate petitions. In his reply, the PM said he had declared all his assets in 2013, hence was not liable for disqualification under Articles 62 and 63 of the Constitution.

A treasure trove of classified documents leaked from a Panama-based law firm Mossack Fonseca in April revealed that three scions of the Sharif family were among dozens of powerful people who owned offshore businesses across international tax havens.

Hail new pm mr ahsan iqbal.. he is the most un controversial one

They will probably bring another letter from another shahzada.

But one of the supreme court's judges made some very bad remarks on the handling of case by PTI. Don't know what was he thinking...
Don't think they're that stupid to bring in another letter.
The same "pakora" guy?

Anyone who followed today's proceedings..please tell..briefly what happened today in SC? Also...i read somewhere Sc will resume hearing again, after a short break today... Is it true? Has hearing begun, after short break again? Also, was any reference made today, to Kashif Masood Qazi and his documents by PTI?

Yes, I think he is the same guy. I am in the office and not following the news, someone told me that in the end SC started treating Naeem Bukhari in the same way as the last hearing.
Don't know why this guy is so biased. Anyway really hoping to hear some positive news about this.

When a judge becomes a lawyer, you can't do anything. When Naeem Bukhari said that PM didn't mention Qatri investments in his address in parliament, JUSTICE (F) AZMAT SAEED remarked that because PM didn't do any investment that's why he didn't remember about it while addressing to parliament..

The above tell a lot where the case is heading... This judge is basically saying, leave Nawaz Sharif as he has no involvement...

And moreover, he threatened IK indirectly that if you bring newspapers, we will consider news about you as true as well.

He is probably a pakoray wala who unfortunately has become a judge of our SC.

They failed to provide proof, so now what is gonna happen?

They provided all the proofs that they could despite not having any help from the institutions.

What else is required... Qatri letter has become so precious that the whole world is revolving around it.

Wow i just can't believe this so basically this guy is fighting for NS? Why other 3 judges aren't noticing this or saying anything... Really surprised to see guys like him are SC judges. Allah reham kare hamare judicial system pe.

That's why I am calling him JUSTICE (F) Azmat Saeed Khosa.

I don't know what else he said, may be he said something else that is in favor of PTI as well. But this is the last few minutes of hearing as per my friend.

I hear no news yet, regarding Kashif Masood Qazi, in today's hearing... Wgy was this issue, not brought in front of ourt by PTI lawyers? Kashif Masood Qazi and his documents, tht he provided to SC, are the biggest proof... Why didnt PTI mention abt tht, in SC today? Look...i really believe SC, is being unfair, esp one judge,,, but when PTI knows, they should go for solid documents, rather than statements in parliament.. And esp, when they have biggest proof, in front of them, in form of kashif Masood Qazi, CAN ANY ONE TELL ME, WHY IS PTI, not bringing issue / reference of kashif masood qazi in legal arguments in court?
