Lets go 10 years back and it was the same atmosphere in the subcontinent. Mumbai was in flames and so were billion plus indians and rightly so. I guess its something only pakistani and indians can relate to because 20 years back its was kargil 10 years mumbai, so every decade they tend to go on edge.

Coming back to the point, during mumbai tensions indians were of the same idea as they were this time around and that is of surgical strikes to avenge attacks, back than democracy was just rebooting itself in pakistan and they had a new chief after long dictatorship, who was reorganizing its troops to the new doctrine of COIN. But even that hesitated him to go hot against indians, although he was reluctant to do the same on the western front against the drones.

During that standoff after mumbai attacks, he told the than CJSC mullen showing a photograph of an IAF Mirage-2000 locked by PAF’ F-16 clearly stating "‘Next time, we’'ll bring it down." Ten years down the road on 27th Feb 2019, they did exactly that!

The resolve was still there, pak armed forces are consolidating on western front. They are almost done on securing borders, this is something indian politicians didn't knew, or they miscalculated, but the establishment how could they forget those words? i can take that politicans have short term memories, but what about the men in uniform? or do they wanted to test their traditional foe, perhaps for two front war ? which is or perhaps was the moto of IAF in the past decade of modernization.

The last indo pak skirmish has lessons for both Pak and India as well as for the world.

Pak: You need to leave the proxies, otherwise the "terror" term won't leave you. And this war madness will come back again and this cycle will go on. As you are opening up again, that's a good sign but sleeping cells of afg and india will be there..... don't forget they both have a grudge against you. Most probably USA will leave Afghanistan soon, so you have a great chance to revive your economy with the help of China, but be aware of loans in the name of CPEC, you have to get up before its too late, you have a got a good man at the helm.

India: First off, get rid of extremist mindset from politics, you have got elections just around the corner, india is at crossroads, its upto the people where they want themselves. GDP growth no is NOT economic development. The dilema is you have high gdp growth coupled with rising unemployment rate. If you want to go the china way, what was their foundation principle? "Peaceful Rise", you have a nuclear armed neighbors. Using military to satisfy your personal egos won't let you anywhere. Concentrate on poverty alleviation rather than settling border disputes using military force. That's not an option anymore.

The world: needs to resolve the kashmir dispute on priority, it might be bilateral since simla, but world needs to bring both countries on table and moderate and resolve this issue. Otherwise Kashmir will be the only nuclear flashpoint in the world.

Nice post ! As a Pakistani I would love to see good relations between India and Pakistan and both should be living like normal neighboring countries with open trade and travel . And also using our resources and sharing technologies for sake of betterment of people of the region instead of destroying each other . Lets hope my dream can come true if not now but at the time of future generation ....

“Patience is very important. An Emir should know to be patient. A flower does not bloom before its time. A raw pear cannot be eaten, even if it is eaten, it would stuck in your throat. A sword without knowledge is like a raw pear…
- Sheikh EbdAli's advice to Osman Gazi, the founder of the Ottoman Empire

There is no movement on the border. It has been proven, India hit some trees and claimed they were 300 militants. Kashmir doesn't have any Pakistani proxies.

India however killed 75,000 Pakistanis with proxy terrorism from Afghanistan and Iran, with full US and Israeli involvement and support.

It will never be in India's playbook to back down, they are fully involved in a fascist mindset.

We have to keep hitting them hard and breaking their egos when they start having delusions.

Our alliance with China will allow us to keep the balance in the region and it is literally all positives and no negatives for Pakistan.

just wait for it guys

JF17 Block III with have a KLJ-7A AESA radar, a very very powerful radar system linked to 170km range

with HMD and ultra long range AAM like PL-15 the Block III will get first detect, first lock and first kill

add to that ZDK-03 the package becomes a force multiplier

JF17 also operated under jamming by IAF, didn't really work for them even although they operate Global 5000 special mission aircraft outfitted by Elta system from Israel

this standoff and subsequent engagement shows how far Pakistan has come and puts everything into prospective

after Kargil in 1999 India threw billions into defence 10s of billions they got A-Z top of the line stuff from top tier suppliers

and at some point it actually looked like that had taken the upper hand, well up and till the JF17 showed up to the fight

The world can't resolve the Kashmir problem, only the Kashmiri people can, by struggle and through their blood.

Pakistan started the proxy war in the 90's in kashmir after soviet withdrawl from AFG, that's nothing hidding from that.
The difference is that indians is playing the same with Pak but Pak has mastered the game and it has or will regain ground in Afg.

The world can't resolve the Kashmir problem, only the Kashmiri people can, by struggle and through their blood.

They only can if there is any moderation, in other words acceptability, which only world powers can provide, otherwise both countries will keep going in tug of war........

Sorry to say Brother, you can keep dreaming. Good words and deeds are of no use, when you face an enemy like India. Do you see Indians reaction on even travail things!!
You are not dealing with normal rational human beings.

One should never loose hope for peace as peace means progress and war means destruction . War should be the last option after peace fails !

Yayy we did it. Excellent, always chesrishing moments for Pakistan and its armed forces.

Nobody brought down the Mirage-2000 strike package ingressing several kilometers within Pakistan's territory. So technically it should be next-next time.
Just saying.

India is about to start a long war with Pakistan. So as warning to Inda :

Dear India, its been almost 40 years that we are in state of war. We know how to bleed enemy to death. Dont try to be over smart. Dont listen to monkeys sitting in your so called thinking circles. They will run away, as they have relationships across 7 seas. But you will remain there to take the wrath.

So, think twice before any (mis)adventure.

Expect more causalities next time, I dont think issue has died down its just simmering underneath. India will neither forget the loss of fighter jet nor will Pakistan lower the guard in the skies. India will not see the loss of fighter jet as pilots grave error but more of Pakistan upping the ante. As both the sides size up each other and in due course of time there will be another escalation.
